The Kawhi Leonard Thread!

What do you guys think of Leonard at 9 if he drops? Over the past week or so I have definately decided I like Kawhi more than really anyone in the draft. He has the work effort and defense that we lack after dealing GW. Plus I think he's highly skilled.

And what excites me the most about taking Kawhi is our young lineup of-

Hendo
Kawhi
Tyrus
Vucevic(My pick at 19)

I mean, thats a sick young team and if Kawhi and everyone else develops well, we could have a REALLY good team in a few years.

Only thing worse than Kawhi getting selected before the 9th pick and us making a boneheaded selection for another PF (w/out moving Diaw, White and/or Tyrus) is Kawhi dropping to 9th and not selecting him. Hopefully Cho will not allow that to happen.

Ammo, I'm with ya on those 2 picks. If we stand pat in the draft at 9 and 19, I think that would be our best combo for the long-term. Though we need help across the board, a true SF and true C are our two most glaring needs, and Leonard is arguably the best SF in this draft and Vucecic is a top-3 Center in this draft. If we come away with those two on draft night, it would be a home-run, IMO.

I really want this guy at 9. He is my top choice unless someone else great drops like Jonas V due to the buyout. At 19 I really hope we get Tobias Harris, he is a player.

I think he is a lock to drop to us. Only guy that might drop out of the top 8 could be Jimmer.

I love the two picks but i don't think that lineup even gets us to the playoiffs.We would still have the same problem scoring . But its not much better options this year.

The goal isnt to get us in the Playoffs THIS YEAR....but to build a championship team. This young lineup can develop and give us the pieces to attract a Chris Paul/Dwight Howard/etc...

That's important to remember: these guys are assets. They may not even be on our team when we make a serious playoff run. Bottom line: we need players that contribute whether it's to our team or to use as trade to acquire the needed pieces.

Leonard is who I want ideally. For this to happen we need two things to occur from what I gather 1 - Cleveland takes Tristan Thompson at 4 (menaing that Jonas V would likely be drafted by Detroit) & 2 - Jimmer goes number 7 to Sactown. Fingers crossed!
