Hollinger is a joke. I've heard he even calculated rookie seasons PER of these players. I wonder based on what Kanter ones were done.

I have no idea what this list is, but a lot of people create two lists: a raw talent ranking and then a mock draft. Since team needs are often into account, those lists can vary widely. Don't know if that applies here or not.

dnb...Hollinger "primarily" uses a statistical model...it is far from perfect and he keeps updating yearly...he claims to use the "eye test also" but with Biyombo in the top 20...I have my doubts...but basically he's trying to determine how players will "transfer" to the NBA and the success they'll have...

He's about as accurate as folk who use the "scouting" method...maybe a little less in some ways...

I wonder what the formula for this model is? Certainly it can't just be the same as PER, which I believe overvalues scoring. I feel like age must be factored in as well here. Without the formula though, this list isn't extremely helpful. Anyone know what it is?

No doubt Hollinger plugged the numbers in, got his list, left some names in unusual places to cause a little stir (Tristan Thompson, Tobias Harris), and then moved whatever ones he felt like with his "eye test" to make it seem more credible (what data from this year could he collect that puts Kyrie first???).
