Looking at Corey Maggette's salary i am quite confused why we dumped jax in this deal their salaries are almost identical? And obviously jax is a better player. No hard feelings yet though im curious what we do from here....

My thoughts were replacing Livingston's spot with a PG. If we get to keep Liv...say no to Kemba unless we have a trade in place (would rather have a high pick in next year's first round then Kemba....if we keep DJ and Liv)

Rather than a dump of jax...it's a means to an end. Moving 'like assets' that positions us better now or in the future.

Block...correction...Ford saying Shaun is in the deal...

The Milwaukee Bucks (http://espn.go.com/nba/team/_/name/mil/milwaukee-bucks) have agreed in principle to a three-team trade with the Sacramento Kings (http://espn.go.com/nba/team/_/name/sac/sacramento-kings) and the Charlotte Bobcats (http://espn.go.com/nba/team/_/name/cha/charlotte-bobcats), multiple sources said Thursday.
The Bucks will get Sacramento's Beno Udrih (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2448/beno-udrih), Charlotte's Stephen Jackson (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/378/stephen-jackson) and Shaun Livingston (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2393/shaun-livingston) and the 19th pick from the Bobcats in Thursday night's draft, while Charlotte obtains the No. 7 pick from Sacramento and forward Corey Maggette (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/497/corey-maggette) from Milwaukee.
The Kings will get guard John Salmons (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/1726/john-salmons) from Milwaukee and the 10th pick in the draft. Charlotte will keep the No. 9 pick.
A source close to one of the teams told ESPN.com that other players might be added to the deal.
Trades made after 3 p.m. ET Thursday cannot be officially announced until the start of the NBA draft tonight (7:30, ESPN).

http://twitter.com/#!/WojYahooNBANever Mind.... I see this information was shared. As far as Maggette I think he is more than just a serviceable piece to the puzzle. He is not that far off from Stephen Jackson in my opinion and should he remain a Bobcat will do quite well under Paul Silas.

I like this very much. I have always like Magette, although he kind of stinks right now. But thats not the main point of the deal. That 7 pick is going to give us a very good starting young duo. I am very excited to see who we get. If we draft Bismack and Kemba I will need a change of shorts. If we do any combonation of Kahwi/Kemba/Bismack, I will still probably need to change my shorts.

I think now that Jack is gone, we need to look for scorers. Kemba at 7 and Kawhi at 9 is the best option to suit our needs. Keep me as far away from Biyombo as possible! Dude is OVERRATED and as others have said, if we wanted a filler for blocks and rebounds, we can just play Diop! No reason to waste a pick in the top 10 on him when we need points on the board. If we draft Kemba we have the option to shop DJ which can end up in our favor for possibly a center...Kaman maybe if we threw Diaw in there?

Cho basically shed about $2.5 mill of Bobcats' payroll while also moving up 12 spots in draft.

But...I bet the pick Kemba and Thompson....leaving Kawhi on the table and having Maggs as the starting SF.

And moving Livingston * his contract is only a plus if he gets hurt this upcoming year. He's a bargain for his size at $3.5M/yr if he's healthy.

If we pick Bismack I will be sooo pissed. We do not need his skill set and we do not need another potential only type pick. We need scorers now and we can get a few defensive minded players later. Right now I am more about scoring some points. If this team is going to lose this season I would rather have some excitement with players who can score any number of ways and can play at a high tempo. Cho can blow all of us if he waste a pick on Bismack. Bismack may one day be a stud but as of now he is not the cornerstone of a rebuilding franchise. I hope and pray we are not strapped down to Bismack and his inevitable growing pains. I know all rookies have growing pains but guys like Bismack take longer to grow.

I really would prefer to take Leonard with the 7th pick, I think we know exactly what we are getting with him (supposedly Detroit made him a promise at 8). the 9th pick is where it gets interesting. Kemba? Bismack? (I think Knight goes to Toronto at 5, not Biyambo) Burks? Klay Thompson? I don't see much use in Tristan Thompson with our current roster.

In a sense, he's right. Clear downgrade for what we have on the court next year. But, that's not our goal. We're sacrificing bishops and knights to try and get another queen on the board.

Here's what we need to be asking about our picks: What would Chris Paul want? (WWCPW)

Lol, i dont see why we picked Bismack that high and they knew they were going to draft a PG, Brandon Knight was still available, we could of picked him at 7 and the bismack dude at 9. I dont even know who bismack is but he looked super small and hes 6'9, and they siad he cant shoot at all Great! Another player on the team who cant shoot, yeah nobody down low on the roster plays defense either but i dont trust foreign players. Kemba is "Ok" he has that "nigga" mentality which is cool and it means he's aggressive/winner (kinda like jack) and his chances of being a "bust" are low. But to me Kemba just brings life to the Team, cause he has the biggest fanbase out of all the players in the draft, hopefully ppl get to see him on TV (doubt it lol)

He's not enough of an upgrade over DJ for me if the plan is to keep him. Given our dire need for perimeter shooting I don't know how we don't use one of these picks on Klay rather than duplicating what we already have with another small pg. And don't get me started on Biyombo. I can't believe we just spent the #7 pick on Diop version 2.0.

I like these moves, even though I love Jax (I know some people didn't but the guy is a leader and a winner and Maggette ain't a team guy).

However, the thing that I like the most is that these moves mean the FO is serious about getting high draft picks and developing young players...NOT wallowing in mediocrity for the next ten years.

Aww come on. Why would we trade Tyler for some cash !

We did it because it was $2Million in cash. It's possible that was part of the package in our 'war room'. MJ agrees to go total rebuild, but we would have to get something for the 2nd round pick. Apparently the 45th pick only brought $1 Million, 6 picks after ours.

I'll be happy if that take the money and buy freebies for the home owner: BB statues of him in the Stature of Liberty dunk pose. When you press a trigger on his back, the arm swings forward to complete the dunk and his eyes flash red.

By the way, anybody else feel like somebody is going to quietly take Maggette out of the back of the arena and put him down. I know he can contribute, but it seems like traded for a ghost.

Could have orchestrated a trade down as opposed to up and wound up with a project who could one day be an impact player. I don't think the talents from 7 to the early second round are really all that different. At least in terms of potential. If Biyombo is an instant impact I will happily be wrong but I just don't see the guy as being worth trading up all those spots. Maggette has not been worth a flip for several years and Livingston was a quality tall pg who's size came in handy. Stephen Jackson was wearing on us but lets face it he was not replaced by an improvement. If anything Corey Maggette is a step back. Let us hope Corey Maggette finds his younger self and is the offensive player we need him to be. I realize we are not going to make the playoffs but the building blocks of the future don't seem set with Maggette. If there are some intelligent and well thought out moves coming all of this will be irrelevant. As of now I am not sold on the idea that we needed to move up so many spots while giving up and getting what we got to do it. Fellas I am not trying to be a negative person but I am not sold on this trade and what we drafted. I realize this was a weak draft and to me that is all the more reason we did not need to move up. If anything we could have stayed pat or moved several spots back and still wound up with equal or better talent. I would rather we stayed pat or moved a few down from 19 and taken Marshon Brooks. He will be a solid pro and he probably will be better for the short term than Bismack Biyombo. I realize we are building but I would like us to be as good as a fifth seed by 2013-2014. Marshon or any scorer of that nature would be better set in my opinion to get us there than Bismack. These are just my opinions and opinions are like assholes and many times they are wrong. I am hoping mine are wrong.

The max we could use in a buyout is 500k.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in regards to his ties to the former team. He said he "broke" the contract, insinuating they did something to warrant it. Now that team is suing him it appears.
