How does everyone think he will do here? I looked up his stats. They are comparable to Jackson over their careers, and not far off from last season, even with Maggette averaging almost 15 minutes less than Jackson. I dont know if he will be here for the remainder of his contract (3 years i think i remember someone saying) or be on his way out this year or next to make room for more younger players. Seems he has some lethary issues, him and Diaw should get along great.

I never thought we'd have two of my former Blue Devils in the starting lineup, I counted Livingston before though he never played for us but he wasn't in the starting lineup so anyways...
Welcome Corey

Im a Duke fan as well, and i am glad the tide has turned from all the UNC blood on the team. JK. Once they leave school, it doesnt matter to me where they are from as long as they make the Bobcats a better team. But on the inside im screaming, yeah boy!!!

That's kind of what I'm thinking too. He was my favorite player on that 99 Duke team so I'm happy to have him return to NC to play here for a while.

2 years left on his contract (and Diop's for that matter). So he'll be an expiring after this season.
Hopefully he garners some interest on the trade market around the deadline

Welcome, Corey. We must have plays with the ball going to Maggette with 4 seconds left in tie ballgames since Jax is now gone.

You never want to depend on Bad Porn to get the job done when you really need it.
(interpret that with whatever puns you want)

In other words...next year he'll be getting the ball a lot. For our purposes he was the best "get" out there.

If this were fantasy basketball, he'd be terrific for our free throw percentage.
Is this just fantasy?

This year will be interesting to say the least. Ill watch to see what Maggs does for us.

Sidenote: I've now read in two different places that Maggette's contract is a year longer than Jax, most recently in Kelly Doucheba... I mean Dwyer's draft grades.
I keep seeing them both expire after the 12/13 season.
Anybody see evidence to the contrary?

DX has them with 2 years. So does Sham & Storytellers (and they've already updated). Most importantly...the Bucks' fans on RGM say they're equal length...and they're a bunch of smart guys.

Yeah, I think the extra-year folks are misinformed.

Just dont get a bunch of Technicals, play defense and play within yourself on offense. And I'll be happy. Welcome to the Bobcats!
dnb...hoopshype shows him expiring 2012/2013...same year as Jack and I've never found them to be incorrect...

I personally like the nickname of Tank better than Bad Porn. But either one is funny and will suffice.
I am actually pleased that he is on the team instead of Jack, I appreciate what Jack did, but I was getting sick of his antics.

Should we draft a quality SF next year, Maggette could be a great scorer off the bench for us.
