Chris Bosh's disturbingly mystifying back tattoo

Someone please explain the meaning behind this work of :airquote:art:airquote:

The top piece is pretty solid other than the music notes and the Roman style building (left side) is nice too. The problem to me is that the entire piece has no flow to it. I'm sure he has meanings for them and I'm certainly not going to knock him for it, but:


A woman with a skull, tree, bird, music notes, roman building, tiger, another skull, ghost faces. Just seems too busy to me.

To me it looks like he let a tattoo artist on a severe acid trip have free reign on his back.

To be fair though, that purple ink is probably (hopefully) a carbon paper stencil, and not the actual work. Maybe it'll look better when (if) he gets some of the blank space filled with some transitional ink.

I don't have any myself, but I do like some of them.

I saw a lady last week with a tattoo of the solar system on her arm that was amazing. It was so nice that I had to stop her and compliment her on it.
