Make or break for Augustin

Thought this was interesting (http://swooshnation.com/20110824252/general-nba/four-make-or-break-players-for-the-2011-12-season.html). Could this be a make or break year for the little guy?

From our POV I think that was last season. He'll be on his final year in 2012 with an option of 4.4 million and we just drafted another rookie who'll make (based on last CBA, 2011) around 2-2.2 million who should be at least as good as DJ...and we're a team that's watching it's pennies while also hoping to tank for a high pick.

With the previous rule changes about hand checking more PGs are at least not a negative...so why pay a middling point guard any kind of money when you can use it somewhere else? Even as a backup for us, why pay 4.4 million when a vet min guy would get what we want accomplished?

The biggest problem with all this is that it pertains to most of the rest of the league as well...meaning we probably won't get crap for him.

Augustine? Really? If someone cared to write an article about someone you'd think they would at least get the name right.
