What are going to do now since the season is definitely in jeopardy. Well I'm gonna continue watching Charlotte's other team and this rookie they got playing QB.
But there being no basketball right now only puts more spotlight on Cam Newton and the Panthers.

Watch the Panthers, and watch some of the Hurricanes games. But no NBA really puts a damper on things. At least we have some enjoyable Holidays coming up. Maybe the NBA, players and agents will get into the Holiday spirit and come to an agreement in the next couple months. Gotta think that once they cannot go out and spend a ton of money on their kids for the Holidays or buy that new $60,000 car for their wife, things may take a turn.

I am going to sleep. Not staying up until 2:30am might do wonders for my uni work. Who knows.
This means I won't be watching the Bobcats on shitty U-Stream connections from my computer when I should be doing homework.
I am convinced that some unknown force is preventing me from seeing a live Bobcats game. I was primed to go to the preseason game in Raleigh, and now that is obviously not happening. I've been trying for 4-5 years to go to a game, and something always prevents me. I won't even get to see them in Wilmington for training camp, the one time a year I get to see them in person.

With no NBA to watch, I'm going to go certifiably bat-shit crazy by mid-november.

Well, if you get really down because there is no NBA, put on a tape of a game from last season. Or better yet, find a lovely lady and have an evening of love. Or you can always practice your frapping if you need to work on it. But frapping while watching an NBA game tape is strictly prohibited.

dude seriously? you like Carolina football and UNC basketball???? Something is seriously wrong with you. Oh and I call Carolina Carolina because they can actually sell out a football game, show up for baseball games, and are actually somehow in the top 25 in basketball attendance every year we have real fans in Columbia not some wine and cheese fan base.
Back in 99-00 we went 1-21 and averaged over 75,000 per game....UNC would never dream of doing anything even remotely close to that.

I grew up a huge Michael Jordan and Tar Heel fan. When I went through the whole college application process I found out UNC doesn't offer in-state tuition for SC residents, and my scholarships wouldn't cover the cost..... So now I go to USC
Since I never really was a football fan, I just fell in line with Carolina football. Now I'm hooked

For starters Hurricanes/Checkers hockey will help keep me occupied as always.
NC State basketball has a new coach. With a new coach comes a new hope.
Cam Newton.
Hmmmm, I suppose I might watch some international ball. Anyone else?
(Really hoping this lockout comes to an end ASAP). Even a shortened season is better than no season at all.

Well, I just beat Oblivion after being addicted to it for two months. I'll probably just play some more XBox games.

If only something like Mass effect 3 was out, I could kill a couple of months on that.

I know there's season-ticket holders here, so I thought I'd pass this along. Pfeiffer University is giving away free season tickets to their basketball games for any NBA season-ticket holders or Bobcats game support employees. A pretty nice gesture (though I could do without the NBA bashing in this release...I have season tickets because I like the NBA, so this strategy isn't the best for non-alumi, IMO.) that I'll take them up on. Pfeiffer is a DII school, so it's obviously not the highest level of basketball in the world, but it is free and a fun environment.
(Full disclosure here, I'm a Pfeiffer alumni. I don't work for them, just thought I'd pass it along.)
