I have to admit I had to wikipedia to find out who the hell Jordan Crawford was.

Regardless, his mum thinks he's a winner and that makes him a champion among men doesn't it.
My mummy thinks I'm a winner and that's all that counts.

Its good to be confident, but this is too much.

JC in all likelihood will never be what MJ was as a player but I can not fault the young mans confidence. I think every player coming into the league should want to one day be the greatest of all time. The difference between JC and other young men entering the league is that they do not have the balls to say what JC did. I believe that JC will be a pretty good player and that is not based off of anything more than the fact that he has the cajones to make such a bold statement. Not that all confident players turn out to be good yet alone great. Then again there are few players ballsy enough to voice such confidence.

In the end some player that nobody thinks has MJ style greatness is going to challenge MJ as the greatest of all time. Remember, MJ became a better NBA player than he was as a collegiate athlete. MJ was seen as a good prospect but not the one day greatest of all time. Some player at some point that nobody expects to be really good or an all time great is going to challenge for greatest of all time. There is nothing wrong with setting the bar high when you are in any profession and even if JC is nowhere near what MJ was the statement he made will push him to try real hard to be. In turn it could make him better than he otherwise would be. After all he has Jordan as his first name. Having Jordan as a name it only makes sense this kid would want to be great. lol
