Scott Fowler wrote a column that somewhat mirrors how I feel right now.

This is ridiculous. Everyone basically being buttholes. period. I can't really say much more about my disgust right now. Don't follow College BBall as strongly but its a good time to start.

until you watch 10 minutes of it and realize the quality of play is horrendous. i made it 10 minutes into the aircraft carrier game and had to change the channel.

I've never understood the quality argument against college ball. Just sounds like one of those generalized excuses to not like something.

They actually play defense, pass the ball, have fans that get into the game, and generally act like they care about the game. Quality is much better

I had great dreams of grandeur this season.
1. Would of watched Hendo/Walker backcourt, and watched as they both became a force to be reckoned with
2. Promotion to Mod (A guy can dream can't he :D)
3. Watch the Bobcats get slaughtered, get an epicly high draft pick and cheer as we pick Harrison Barnes, turning it into Walker/Hendo/Barnes/TT/INSERTCENTERHERE
4. Watch as Bobcats develop into an exciting young prospect (ala Thunder) and start competing for championships.

they can't shoot, can't make easy shots, turn the ball over, make terrible passes, have a shot clock that lasts forever allowing too many purposeful-less passes and dribbles and overall just sloppy basketball prevails. you will however, get no argument from me that the atmosphere is miles better than the pro game.

Then you must be watching the likes of East Tennessee State and Southwestern Iowa. Harrison Barnes is a great shooter, Kendall Marshall is the best passer in college, and the heels run like the Suns do!

That's something that has amazed me. The atmosphere of college games is huge, crowd is loud and the cheerleaders are mighty fine.

By March madness the quality of play is way better imo.

What doesn't help is that with so many Diaper Dandy's coming into the NCAA the inexperience of a great deal of the players shows it's ugly head early. That is just my opinion. If the NBA goes the rout of forcing players to stay in college til age 20 you will see an improvement in game play also imo. Just think if many of our one and done players or even for what it's worth the two and done players played through at least their junior year of college. The play in my way of thinking would no doubt be better. Hell even just having the one and done players being forced to play their sophomore seasons we would have a much better product. Still for me by January the college game is more than good enough for me to watch whole games and not tune out half way though.

I guess I'm just a college nut? Since (and including) the Carrier Classic, I've probably watched 10 full games on tv and ESPN3

Most college fans I believe follow it cuz the players play for the love of the game. They have to, since they are not getting paid (not suppose to). That is the reason I will follow it, no greedy players and owners.

College ball is pretty good in my opinion. But I agree so much with this story. I've supported the owners throughout but now theres owners out there that are just as bad as the players *Ahem* *Jordan* *Ahem*. Now its just highway robbery on both ends and I'm at the point if theres an NBA season, cool. If there isn't maybe they will learn and even if that means the NBA collapses and a new league is formed so be it (or hopefully Stern is forced out of the NBA). The only thing thats obvious is this is friggin ridiculous now.

Any Bobcat fan mad at Jordan in this situation is not thinking clearly IMO. I know it seems Jordan is trying to save money on his end but I think he's trying to save the franchise personally.

Today's high dollar players and big market owners couldn't care less about having the Bobcats in the league. They would love to see contraction as an answer for a more competitive league where they can still make their money.

Small market teams need a chance to be more competitive. Yes some bad players get payed big money cause all the big market teams sign the good players to mega contracts and leave the scraps. In turn small market teams have to sign some iffy players (usually to fairly big money) hoping it turns to gold and it usually doesn't.

Walker/Hendo/Barnes/TT/INSERTBIYOMBOHERE would be a Bobcat fans wet dream.

I just hope we get some form of season to tank hard.

wow, come to think of it, I actually had a real dream that were playing and the players were in a huddle with Charles Oakley rallying them for the win. Then there was a crowd of fans closer by and one fan must of lost his footing cuz he fell on Oakley making fall on the players. He cursed the fans out cuz I guess he back was hurting. I never how much I missed ball if I'm dreaming about it. lol
