At this second?

Kemba/Hendo/Mags/Ty/Diaw

But I don't see that remaining the same by the end of training camp.

I know I'm in the minority here but

DJ
Hendo
Maggete
Diaw
Tyrus

I think eventually Kemba and Bismack will start this season. But for now let the Win the job.

Thowing caution to the wind & being in full-on tank mode I'd go with-

Kemba/Hendo/Maggette/Tyrus/Bismack

Bismack will not start, he will foul out in about 10 mins. Also he may not even be here this year, nobody knows for sure.

This may not be our current "starting" five but our current best 5 lineup would be:

Kemba, Hendo, Maggette, Tyrus, Diaw

Something tells me, we are not gonna have a problem losing games, no matter what lineup we roll out. Just saying.

My lineup fwiw would be Kemba/Hendo/Magette/TT/ ???

i am not advocating tanking ie losing on purpose. i am confident in our suckiness though and as long as we are allowing our rookies to develop, i will be rooting for a few good character building wins mixed in with alot of losses to nab us a top 5 pick.

Our best is probably DJ, Hendo, Cunningham, T Thomas, Diaw (would prob include K Brown but not sure he will be back)

The lineup I want to see most and would like to think might be our best someday soon is Kemba, Hendo, T Thomas, Bismack, Diaw

I think our tanking will be built around the fact we lack enough talent to win games.

I don't think we would deliberately lose close games or sit anyone when we're close but I just don't think we have the personnel to win many games.

I'm fine with that though as Coach Silas will get the best out of our prospects & we will still compete on a nightly basis(without winning many)

That. I think Cho did a marvelous thing with bringing Maggette who has a hisotry of not achieving anything and could serve well for that and at the saem time it looks at first look like we get a similar tier of player back fo Cpt. Jack. With securing us a scond top 10 pick at spot just needed to get Biyombo, that trade was helluva move.

I disagree that we lack talent. It's just that there's not enough development time in them yet to see any benefits.
TT, Kemba, BB and Hendo are all extremely talented players.

TT just hasn't put it all together, and doesn't get the minutes to really show his true potential.
Kemba will probably look so good one night, and struggle the next being a rookie.
BB will do amazing flashes of sheer brilliance, then make boneheaded plays that make you cringe.
Hendo will continue to develop his offensive game while being a force on defense.

We will play crap this year, no doubt. But I'll still be happily watching, seeing those little things that open your eyes and then smile, knowing that they're improving. No doubt this season will be painful, but who isn't excited to see Kemba blitz down the court, or BB do his best birdman impression and block the crap out of people. Plus, Henderson consistently knocking down the 3 will make us all thrilled.

No doubt they are all talented but they are not at a level to compete on a nightly basis, talent wise we are bottom three in the league.

TT doesn't get his minutes because he fouls like crazy & makes a lot of bonehead plays, I've got faith in him but time is running out.

Stick with it one more season. A top 3 pick and another mid to late first round pick in this draft is big.
In additition we setting our self up to be a major player in the 2012 free agent market. We should be able to sign one mabe two max contracts.

For now:

DJ / Hendo / Mags / Ty / Kwame (assuming Kwame is back)

Kemba and Bismack will be good off the bench but could start by the end of the season.

Hopefully we make a couple small moves in FA to improve the starting 5 or at least add depth. But I don't want to trade any draft picks or spend too much on a veteran. Building for the future is what we need to focus on.

So doc are you saying you don't want a 2nd first round pick in the 2012 draft. Im hoping we turn DJ or Diaw into that 2nd pick. The 2012 draft class is at least 25 deep in quility players.
All so do you want us to be big time players in the 2012 free agent market?

I think because the draft is so deep we may be only to swing Diaw/DJA for a late first at the most, the depth sort of works agains us in that sense.

Expect a sign and trade with DJ a new contract is being asked for and what's the odds of Charlotte giving one and keeping him. I told you guys Rondo was in the cards months ago we'll see how it shakes out. I know you guys see all of a sudden what the Celtics are saying. Charlotte wants a proven vet at the point to bring Kemba along.

I love Rondo, and think he would be an awesome PG for Charlotte. I'll miss DJ, but would get over that quickly if Rondo were running the point. Crap, just read the article. Looks like a 3rd is wanted in a deal trading Paul for Rondo. So I dont see Charlotte getting either, but would love to get another 2012 1st rounder out of it.

Sure, bu how? Good luck with getting one for Diaw, not sure about DJ getting anything better than middle round pick. more importantly good luck with not taking back a crap contract.

No. 2013, yes. Charlotte isn't attract anything prime for itself, we have to have upcoming nucleus first.

If DJ has to go, I hope he goes where he will be happiest. And if we are a part of the Boston-New Orleans talk, I'd love to send Diaw out with DJ, and get a 2012 1st from both Boston and New Orleans. How sweet would it be to have 3 1st round picks in this loaded 2012 draft?

keep us as up to date as you can with info. i think he would be a really good fit on the celtics. wherever he lands, i hope he is happy. he had a rough start with larry "i will draft you, but destroy your confidence and bury you on the bench" brown.

Please god tell me that's a joke. If anything in that situation we would have to give two picks and DJ. We aren't getting Rondo. We aren't getting Paul. We have practically no valuable pieces to trade and there are a number of other 3rd teams that would fit the bill better for that move. I personally think the swapping of DJ for a mid-late first rounder is a long shot unless we take on a bad contract with it. As much as I would like to be positive about our future it's tough to be....we are definitely bottom 3 in talent in my book (and I am excited with Biyambo and to a lesser extent Kemba).

As for my starting 5:
DJ/Kemba coin toss, Henderson, Maggette (I just threw up), Tyrus, and Biyambo

I agree with this. Looking at our situation realistically, there is no way we are getting Rondo or Paul. We are going to finish in the bottom 5 this season and that is something we have to accept. And even if we get Paul or Rondo, who else is going to score points? We will just be a team with 1 superstar and a bunch a mediocre players (8 seed at best). We would have to give up multiple future draft picks along with taking another big contract, meaning less room/opportunities to add pieces down the road. I just don't see it being our best option. Patience and strategic drafting is the way to go. Currently we have a team with players that don't complement each other and it's a mess. I hope we completely blow up the team and start over (which it seems like we might be in the process of doing).

The only guy I want to bring back is Kwame, but I have a feeling he will get some money thrown at him late in FA and we can't afford a bidding war for him.

he doesn't have advanced inside knowledge but (assuming dj tells him) he knows things as dj is made aware of them. he also knows what is going on in the locker room or with coaches/players from dj's perspective which is always more interesting that what i read on "news" sites.

it has been made public or semi-public and verified his relationship to dj. he isn't always right but the info is presumably coming from dj which i always love to read. i have learned a few things about the way players hear info and how susceptible they are to misinformation and outright lies by teams and agents. they are definitely the poot's, dee's, bodie's and wallace's of the game.

i have asked and would have love to have him write a blog about what is going on around the team on a weekly basis.

Matt, ballwhore is most definitely a legit source in regards to DJ. He only repeats what he's told by DJ or DJ's immediate circle, which he is a part of. I'm not going to go into what part of the circle he's in, but the staff of this site has verified his legitimacy.

Whether or not DJ tells the truth or is told the truth is a different matter.
