So I was over at http://hoopshype.com/salaries/charlotte.htm checking out our current contract situation, and I wondered where we stood as of TODAY with the rest of the league so I made a list and am posting it here so i can compare it to the list in 1 month.

The Lakers are going to be DUMPING money into the small markets with the huge luxury tax they are going to have..... How is Miami only 19 mill ahead of us... Denver has 10 players on the contract list... New Orleans only has 6!

It's going to change the first few years I believe. This year the cap is like $58 mil and luxury tax is close to $70 mil.

Well we've been saying for a couple of years now that our salary situation doesn't begin to clean up until after next year. We have a fair amount of expirings this year that will really help clean the books up by after next year we'll really have some space opened up. We've done a good job so far so we just have to be patient while we work ourselves out of the baggage.

Miami's cap situation isn't that bad because outside of the big three, they have nothing but a ton of minimum guys.

Starting to work our way out of the funk with Diaw coming off the books, Wallace/Jackson gone also. We've cleared up quite a bit of space. I think we're looking decent finally.
