He's a restricted free agent, so I don't know how likely he is to come here, but there's apparent interest from his camp as well according to our friend Mr. Bonnell. He's the kind of low-risk, high-reward type player I wouldn't mind signing even though it'd eat up some space. His shooting ability alone would make a reasonable salary money well spent for the Bobcats. Hope this can work out.

Not really a surprise. He's one of the guys many people have advocated for for a long time now
I like it. We need a 3 point shooter, and we're thin at the SG/SF position. He's not a starter, but would be good player off the bench. Make it happen.

So what kind of value does he have, I know nothing about his game except he can shoot the three?

He's a former D-League Don Nelson mid-season pick up from a few years ago if I'm not mistaken right? I remember when Cartier Martin was over in Golden State with him as well

To be fair, when he is given playing time he has put up pretty dam good numbers. You guys can check that out themselves, he can flat out score. I would really like him here for a decent price. I think he would be really good, especially in this system we are going to run

He would be a great pick up. Really good off the bench scorer. An athletic shooter.

Seems as if the Warriors aren't keen on matching too big of an offer for his services since they got that loser Klay Thompson in town. I think we'll be competing against 5 or so other teams, so hopefully we're in pretty good shape

My question is can he play any defense? He may score his butt off but can he stop anyone else from scoring?

Does any body know what this guy can do and what kind of value does he have.

davcbow:
He's only ever played in Golden State, so we really don't know what type of defender he can be. Though, I wouldn't expect much from him on that side of the floor. He'll mainly be a bench scorer to provides some useful shooting.
dav7z:
He's going to get offers from a few different teams, so that'll drive up his price a bit depending on how much they want him. Dependable outside shooters like Williams are always valued highly due to their relative rarity in the league.
I'd really like to have him in Charlotte because he's only 25, provides a useful skillset for any team, and can be a "piece" of our future. But with all of that said, I wouldn't want to go higher than $10mil for 3 years.

That really wouldn't over paying if he can come off the bench as a sixth or 7th man . With a ability to drop threes.

Very keen on Williams. Think it would be a great fit, but like Swedd says, at the right price.
