Sean Deveney (Sporting News) tweeted this today:
"Had heard that the Nuggets were in the Al Thornton market. That's cooled now. Most likely for Thornton: Charlotte and New Orleans."
What do you guys think about him? He's a big SF who can attack the rim. Actually, he kind of reminds me of Corey Maggette. With Maggette and Hendo being the only wings I'd want to see on the court, we do need another.

Yes I would LOVE to have him. He's young and is a guy I feel comfortable starting if Maggette can't go for some reason. I still want to get Reggie Williams or someone similar tho.
Bonnell tweeted that we had interest in Dunleavy before he agreed with MIL.

Yuck. He had a solid rookie year and has tailed off since. Rather have Dante as the backup at 3; cheaper and less financial commmitment, plus a better shooter.

I'd still rather pick up Williams. I wouldn't be dissapointed with either.
no thanks. black hole and not a very good one at that.

In his second year he played in 71 games, started 63, and averaged 16.8 points and 5.2 rebounds. The two years since haven't gone as good, but he hasn't played too many games in those seasons. He has a lot of talent.

Thats starting numbers for sure . But like Williams i don't know well . What kind of money is he worth. I just don't want us signing any kind of screwed up contracts . We have three core players now. and next year we going to have a top three pick . I don't want us spending on non core players at all weather its a starter or a back up.

I'm still wondering why we didn't put a claim in for him when he was waived last year... Please, sign him up. I like Reggie Williams too, so I'll be happy with either - very talented guys.

Just looked at his stats. He can't or don't shoot the 3 ball well or much . Close to 30% He don't pass much . But scores at about a 45% of his shots.
NO THANKS from what little i read.

Great athlete, good scorer, dumber than a box of potato chips. Has value as a cheap bench player, but not someone you pay more than a million or so a year
He's alright, I'm higher on Reggie Williams, but Thronton will play defense. Just don't overpay, please...

I would prefer Reggie Williams, but Al wouldnt be a bad cheap player to get. I would be happy as long as its nothing over 3 a year. Reggie i would stretch to 4 maybe
I wouldn't be opposed to Thornton but it is all about the contract. If we picked him up on the cheap, then I would be for it. If we paid even market value, then I would be disappointed.

Why not Reggie and Al, we have the loot to do it. I just read somewhere where Cunningham might not come back so that gives us a backup 2 and 3. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/12/09/2837162/bobcats-to-open-training-in-flux.html

Al had gone for 8 million a year to the kings. Good riddence for that money! His agent has done an absolute job there!!! Thanks god we didnt try to get him for that money

Al hasn't been signed by anybody yet. MARCUS Thornton got signed for that dumb contract
No thanks. I'd rather bring back Dom. And I don't want to do that...

I like Al but he was a 24 year old rookie coming out of FIU & hasn't seemed to improve much, I don't want us to sign a 28 year old prospect unless it's Adam Morrison ;)
I'm down for Reggie Williams though.

If I can remeber Al Thorton was a scorer at FSU. Anybody that can score and play multipule positions can help our team. He can play alittle d.

LOL, yeah I did. Sorry typo.

They're both so low on my list of targets, it doesn't matter which one I'd rather have. They both suck.
