So I just want you guys to think about this starting lineup
Paul/Billups/Butler/Griffin/Jordan...
I'm thinking 3rd or 4th seed in a very competitive western conf. I hope to god they are the ones to knock the Lakers off their tails.

Two all-stars in Paul and Griffin.
Griffin will have an absolute field day with Paul feeding him, especially on lobs and fast breaks.
Also comes down to Griffin's continued development as he can still get better (scary if you think about it).
Jordan gives them great defense and rebounding presence, and Billups is a great shooter and a great leader.
Just about a championship contender right there.

3rd or 4th? i was thinking top three almost guaranteed. i think it will come down to okc, memphis, dallas and clips. dallas has the old legs of the bunch so i would see them cruising a little.

You don't get a top 4 seed with Chauncey Billups as your starting SG
You don't get a top 4 seed with Chauncey Billups as your starting SG
You do when the other four starters are CP3, Caron Butler, Blake, and D.Jordan...
Billups won't play more than 25mpg anyways, they'll play Caron a lot at the 2 I'm sure.
Plus, who's going to present that big of a matchup issue for Chauncey?
Chauncy Billiups, who can't shoot aside from the occasional clutch shot, is not a good starting SG. Other than that its a good lineup. This is a good team, but we are talking about the Clippers, the team apparently cursed by an indian burial ground.

He talks about it somewhere in there. Point is even when this team tries to be good something bad happens.

Chauncey is fine if he mainly comes off the bench as the back up pg and plays very few minutes at the 2 alongside CP3. Otherwise giving Chauncey starters minutes in a position he is not cut out for will hurt the Clippers.
I don't think anyone should get too big on the Clippers this season. Next season some moves will need to be made to make them a top 4 seed in the West. As of now I see them as no more than a 5th seed and most likely they will be 6th or 7th seed qualifiers.
That could change if they can get solid depth a the 2 and the 5.
Curses end. Ask Red Sox fans.

Its carzy to think right now the Clippers are the better team in LA right now. Eh. I'll still take the Lakers anyday over the Clippers. I've always pulled for the Clips (back to the Ron Harper, Gary Grant, Charles Smith days) and been happy when they succeed but I don't think they're better than the Lakers...yet. There's only one position where they dominate the Lakers, with the 3 and 4 being close, but they're outclassed at 2 and 5.
Still, good to see them on the rise and hopefully Sterling stays out of the way.

While I don't know how his contract would affect a trade, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Billups ended up back in Denver. I know he wasn't happy with the team when he was traded, but he seems to have serious roots there.
