I would like to take a poll of how many Bobcats fans there are who do not live in the Carolinas. I am a Bobcats fan who lives in New York, as I have been following the team for 3 years now, attended my first Bobcats home game in 2010 when I took a trip to NC.

I am planning on attending when the Bobcats come to town to play the Nets or Knicks.

Who else are Bobcats fans who do not reside in either of the Carolinas?

I'm from Jacksonville, Florida and I have been a fan since the beginning. I have been a Hornets fan since '86. I have also been a Panthers faan since it's beginning also. But never have not had a chance to get to any games yet. That may chance seen Charlotte has become a destination I am thinking of moving to.

Born and raised in Central Florida. Always attend the Bobcats/Magic games in Orlando. Family lives up there and I anxiously wait for the day I can move to Charlotte, NC.

I reckon tamb and I are the easternmost active fans on this board, though, if I recall correctly, we even had a guy from Japan.

I think it's great the international fanbase the Cats have. I know all teams have them, but it's cool that a team that doesn't have any inherent appeal to anybody outside the Carolinas (hell, many of those inside, alas) has such loyal and dedicated fans nationally and worldwide.

Lifelong NC resident.

Question: How do you fans outside of NC/SC, but inside the States still, watch Bobcats games on TV? Is NBA League Pass the only way? I was thinking of getting a Roku Box or Google TV and was wondering how their sports package worked.

Thanks!

That is a great question. I just watch the Bobcats during the League Pass previews, when they play my areas local teams (Knicks & Nets), and games on NBA TV.... Every year I hope that the Bobcats are shown on TV here in NY - via TNT, NBA TV, etc...

I definitely would love to know about Google TV & Ruku, as League Pass on cable is very expensive...

Those who live outside the Carolinas, how do you all watch Bobcats games?

from Hickory, NC living in Shanghai. FRS is spectacular, but China's internet is awful, so there tends to be a lot of buffering.

also, from my limited canvasing, not many Chinese know who the Bobcats are. i usually have to say, "Michael Jordan's team" and still get quizzical looks (it might be because i'm talking in English). they all like Kobe Bryant, so we probably don't want their support anyway.

i did find a Kemba Walker Under Armour advertisement (also featuring Brandon Jennings). Global Icon!
