If I could watch 5 teams on sterling HD on League Pass they would be:

Clippers
Wolves
Grizzlies
Thunder
ehhhh Kings

I would not ever want to see:

Lakers
Heat
Celtics

They'll be on national TV most nights anyway.

I left out the Bobcats as they're the obvious #1 and local.

I think its funny that the Clippers have become the Heat opposite. They're younger and more exciting. They're truly playing to win I think; not giving it lip-service like in Miami.

Who would you pick/pan?

i hear the sentiment of the heat and lakers ( i like watching the celts though) all of them are wayyyy over exposed on espn and tnt. i would never ever want to see the:

pistons
cavs
raptors

and would not lose sleep over not seeing the magic, hawks, sixers

In the spirit of the thread, I'm also leaving out the Bobcats, which would be #1 for sure.

1. Clippers-- I'm on the bandwagon. Given that only a handful of teams will seriously vie for the championship, they're an easy choice to support.
2. Blazers-- They may be going downhill as a team, but I love Felton and Wallace. Hoping they play well this year.
3. Thunder-- another elite team that's easy to support.
4. Timberwolves-- Some great young talent.
5. Wizards-- Call me crazy, but I want to see the Young/Wall backcourt develop.

Pans
I'm not going to include Lakers/Heat/Knicks/Celtics, the power house teams, though they fit on the list.
1. Raptors-- what a terrible team. DeRozan is the only guy I'd even want to watch.
2. Suns-- Love Nash, but the ship is sinking.
3. Cavs-- never have I been so uninterested in two high draft picks.

This was hard. There aren't a lot of teams other than the Bobcats that I really want to watch, but most other teams have at least one or two guys I want to see play.

Pick:

Grizzlies - Z-Bo, Gasol, Tony Allen and co. are so much fun to watch, and the announcers for Memphis are among the best in the league. For real, check them out. The real-life dad from The Blind Side is one of their color guys, Sean Tuohy I think.
Thunder - Durant and Westbrook. Need I say more?
Bulls - If you have WGN, then you don't need this, but for me, Rose is must-watch tv no matter what.
Pacers - They're going to be pretty damn good, and I've always liked Granger and Hill's games.
Bucks - Jennings, Jackson and Bogut...they might suck, but it'll be entertaining as hell.

Pan:

Heat - Do I even need to explain?
Lakers - Ditto.
Clippers - I'm already sick of them.
Hornets - Anyone who paid for ST's there should bathe in their own tears.
Pistons - They suck...a lot.

Picks:
Grizzlies - Z-Bo is one scary beast. They're also enjoyable to watch.
Clippers - CP3/Griffin, I wanna watch that.
Timberwolves - Super Cool Beasley, Rubio, Love
Bucks - Big fan of Bogut since he's from Aus. Jackson can also be entertaining when he goes on a tirade (thankfully not on our team anymore though). Jennings is meh.
Hard to pick a 5th, think I'll pass on a 5th for now.

Pan:
Heat - Boring
Hornets - Please
Lakers - Overshown

I have no interest whatsoever in watching Miami/LAL/Boston.

But 5 I would pick:

Sixers: I like the Turner/Holiday/Williams combo. Young team that could be a sleeper in the East. I also like Iggy.
Clippers: For reasons stated above.
Blazers: It's too bad Roy is gone but they've still got Wallace/ Aldridge and now Felton. Plus I'm a fan of Nate McMillan.
Mavericks: Big fan of Dirk and Kidd.
Warriors: Ellis/Curry/Lee and Mark Jackson as head coach. Could be a sleeper in the West.

Watched the Clippers/Warriors late game on ESPN last night. CP3 was amazing at the end closing it out.

Dribble stop side step crossover lurch back step swish; repeat three times.

....and I think I luv Jeff Van Gundy.

Heh I'm dropping the Kings and adding the Blazers instead. Forgot about Wallace/Felton; forgive me!

Also dropping the Grizz and adding the Warriors; tough call but it's got to be made.

Clippers
Wolves
Thunder
Blazers
Warriors

I watched about half of the Wolves/Bucks game last night on my iPhone. It was cool but left me a little cross-eyed. Don't try to drive after!

You need League Pass but there's a free preview until Jan. 8.

It's the NBA Gametime app. Works on iPad too. You can hit "2x" to fill the screen though it's a little fuzzier. The app isn't set up to take full advantage of the larger iPad screen.

League Pass broadband has awesome resolution; I watched some of the Bucks/Wolves on that and could see the "shine" of the stitching on the Bucks jerseys. Nice! This is especially good for anyone with a good computer but no HD TV. For me though it's not so comfortable to watch the NBA that way. Might try to change that; it gives me the best picture.
