Bobcats Uni watch

The Bobcats have made some small alterations to their logo portfolio. And remember the team's NASCAR uniforms? Those have been scrapped and replaced by a jersey patch, which will be worn Feb. 10. Also, the Bobcats are one of nine teams that will be unveiling ABA throwbacks later this season. The good news is that most of them -- including the one the Bobcats will be wearing -- are very, very good. The bad news is that they're all NOPE, which stands for Not Open for Public Exposure. In other words, nobody's allowed to talk about them yet. Further details when the gag order is lifted.

I would love to see a throwback of the Hornets teal & purple! But, since it said the ABA throwbacks I guess we'll see the Cougars uni.

It's funny that the newest team in the league is going to be using an ABA uniform. I can only imagine the jokes RGM will have about this one! I would absolutely LOVE a Bobcats uni in teal and purple but like most said, it'll probably be some Cougars throw off.

yeah I could get the back, I'm more interested in seeing the front because that logo above their names doesn't match the old school Cougars logo. The color scheme is pretty cool though.

I love reading about the ABA and catching whatever old footage I can see from the league. Really looking forward to all the throwbacks (seeing as only 4 teams survived the merger, Charlotte won't be the only ones wearing a defunct team...IE Memphis will be wearing uniforms from the Tams if I remember the article correctly, even though the city also had the Sounds and the Pros).

I think its weird that Denver will be wearing the Nuggets jersey (they were only the Nuggets for one year in the ABA), while the Spurs, who were in the ABA for several years, will be wearing the Chaparrals jerseys. Perhaps they didn't want Denver wearing uniforms that said Rockets on them. Great find! So cool they are breaking out the old Clippers colors/jersey. One of my top 5 unis all-time...although I thought it was San Diego...didn't realize there was an LA Clippers in the ABA.

Also love the retro Pacers logo with the arm and basketball. Reminds me of the Wayman Tisdale, Chuck Person and early Reggie days!

Hopefully they sell Cougars shirts at the team store because I've been wanting one for a while now.

One of my top 5 unis all-time...although I thought it was San Diego...didn't realize there was an LA Clippers in the ABA.



There wasn't - the Clippers will be wearing gear from the LA Stars. The Clippers were the Buffalo Braves of the NBA before first moving to San Diego and then LA.

As for the new retro gear, I wouldn't mind picking up one of those Pacers cardigans :)

San Diego had the Conquistadors for the ABA, and later the Sails.
