I typically cant stand UPS, but he's looked good this year. Hope he can keep proving me wrong.

Makes me wonder if they plan on keeping one of the "extras" like Griffin or Summers?

I'm honestly thinking they are going to keep an extra (griffin), on a non guaranteed contract, this way if we make a trade we can waive without being stuck with salary for a waived player, but have the option of opening up a roster slot if the need arises (just hopefully if we end up needing to cut someone and then re-sign them like UPS we wont lose them in the process).

I thought Cunningham was an excellent player, but the drug crap just ruins players.

Per Tam & Doc's posts in the other Dante thread we already have 14 guaranteed contracts + Ely. Don't see any of those guys beating Ely out (even if he still doesn't have the stellar beard/fro)...but IMO we do need another PG of the combo type. Someone hopefully better than Uzoh.

90% smoke weed that drug sh#t aint the problem Jordan ain't spending nothing and he is fighting Cho on amnesty contracts right now as we type dumbass (Jordan). You can flip bullshit into a respectable product. Another year of -30mil plus loses in revenue.

I trust Cho to do the right thing. We will be fine.

Are you saying Cho wants to amnesty someone to add another player but Jordan won't agree?
If so it sounds very familiar to the conversation Swedd and I were having in the Dante thread.

Yeah of course we wouldn't amnesty DJ as he has arguably the most trade value after our rookies. I've never figured we'd amnesty Gana; I knew Jordan would be way too cheap to do that. Can't say as I blame him either.
Figured it'd be Najera, like Swedd mentioned. It would make the most sense to free up a spot.

Too late to amnesty anyone this season, the deadline expired last week.

Yep! amnesty past gone vamoosh...Cho doesn't have the reigns. He can dream up and think of scenario's but MJ and right side puppet clown man can nix it all and does at will. Can't wait to see how the upcoming cap space is used. Charlotee needs a competitive team guys sooner than later.

Amnesty Najera would be dumb. He should be bought out if anything. You donīt waste one per CBA option on irrelevant small contract and even expiring. You just trade or cut those if you need a free roster spot.

yeah Najera is a much better waive/cut choice. Amnesty is saved for Tyrus if he shows he can't play.
Yeah, if there was a scenario to use the amnesty, it was if Biyombo was already signed and then to amnesty Diop, which didn't happen.
If Cho wanted to amnesty someone else, then God forbid it, but MJ beat out Cho on a basketball decision...
i think they are on the same page. they both know we need to bottom out. why amnesty diop to make room for a player or players who could contribute to 5-8 wins and pull us out of the top 3 lotto. diop expires next year so he may have some value and if not he is gone. they are watching to see what tyrus does. despite what mj said about breakout players, they are using this year to decide on an amnesty.
