Since we have no playoffs to look forward to, and not a lot of stuff to bitch about really, Id thought it would be a good time to bring this up.
I was watching the Thunder game today, and the in-game music they played while on offense was catchy. I know a lot of teams use instrumental hip-hop music, and I was wondering why we don't. All we have are beating drums on defense, and some artificial organ sounds on offense.
I would think an overhaul in stadium presentation is in order with the overhaul of our roster.
I also think Big Pat needs to chill with the nicknames. Don't want to hear T-time and G all the time.
Thoughts?

Yeah the music needs an upgrade. I think we need to use our colors to our advantage too. Orange can be an intimidating color if used throughout the arena correctly. Of course, the only way you can have a better atmosphere is if people show up at games. If Kemba starts playing well, people will show up and be excited.

I know several other teams have allowed fans to audition for what basically amounts to a cheering section (and if they made the cut, they were awarded season tix but had to show up to the games). Houston and Mikwaukee have been doing this for awhile now (I know Bogut's group is called Squad 6). The Pacers are in the second season of Roy Hibbert's Area 55 as well.

I'm sure some other teams have a similar setup.

Charlotte desperately needs a group like this at Bobcats games... If there is anything that I could do as far as helping to organize something like that, or helping somebody set it up, just let me know.

That would be fun to do in the future....I couldn't do it this year. Maybe next year tho.
I love watching Bucks games because of their fans, it's like a college atmosphere.

Considering how big college ball is in the Carolinas. I cannot for the life of me understand why the Bobcats don't do anything like this.. I'd do it in a heartbeat!!

Section 216 would be a great place for this.
Upper level (but really on the same eye level as the suites) so the seats are pretty cheap.
Located directly over top of the visiting teams bench. The other team couldnt help but notice, and its behind the basket for late game foul line distraction.
And most importantly of all... its a mere two steps away from the gigantic bar overlooking the court.
a socially lubricated, rowdy, loud group of fans hovering above the opposing teams bench would be sweet.

Have to say... been going to games since day 1. Really happy to see the fewest amount of Heat jerseys (insert any good team that comes into town) I have seen in a while. Still some bandwagoners in the house, but over all i thought the crowd was excellent tonight.

It seemed like one section in the upper deck had a ton of Heat fans for some reason, must be a group of them that got together...but yeah it was a very pro-Bobcat crowd which speaks well to the fanbase coming around overall.
