I actually said last season that this would happen... It happened.

He might be a worthy player to keep, but it is still disturbing to know that he is signed because of his father. We might pick any other player for the third string guard.

Anyway, at least we will have 13 healthy bodies against the Bucks instead of 12.

I'd much rather have Nate Robinson.

I don't think we should have signed him because of his fathers position in the organization.

He is what he is... A 15 th guy....

Look at our roster for the last 3 years and who our 14 and 15 spots filled with and compare him to them... You get guys like Twiggy and last years stretch of an empty roster spot. I can say with certainty that he is better then nothing ;)

Not really sure if we should have signed him due to his father's role with the organization. And I have to think we could have done a little better as far as getting someone who can provide some scoring as well. What if we want to cut him later, or trade him? Will that cause a bit of a rift in the FO? Just not a good idea.

I agree a zillion percent. It's a bad idea and there isn't really anything positive that can come out of signing family members to fill out your roster spots.

I don't know why, but this signing makes me think of this little tune.

Would you sign Jordan's son over Higgin's son?

I read on another forum that Jordan is actually this kid's Godfather. Any truth to this?

It doesnt really effect the team but it is a little sketchy and probably unwise. There are just too many negatives and no positives.

haha, that was a rather generous Christmas present! maybe Rod couldn't figure out anything else to get his son?

Higgins is the all-time leading scorer in Colorado history and 6th all-time in the Big 12...shooting shouldn't be a problem, defense and everything else should be what is interesting...I'm not too worried about the family relationship thing, Nuggets did the same thing with Coby Karl, signed him during the offseason and only played summer league with them before he got cut, I'm sure he'd welcome a chance to play for them again.

I personally would have rather had Nachjbar, but the kid is young, everyone talked about how they'd rather sign young, unproven guys and give them minutes over a veteran who has maxed his potential at 5 or 6 points...many undrafted players have become effective players, not stars or anything, but there has been a few all-stars and several good role players (Raja Bell, Ben Wallace, John Starks, Brad Miller etc.) Give him a shot, I doubt his deal is fully guaranteed, if he's not cutting it, get rid of him...Though I'd rather get rid of Najera or Diop first

I like this signing a lot, Higgins should have been drafted imo & is a perfect backup point for us with his size at 6-5 180.

He had one hell of a college career & deserves his chance in the league.
