That's right!!! It's the king of the isolation / jab-step himself... Captain Jack, Mr. "MakeLoveToPressure", The King of the Swagga-Three Stephen Jackson.
If I remember correctly, he wasn't very happy with the trade that shipped him to Jeffrey Dahmer's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_dahmer) home town. Jack is such a kind hearted soul that he wouldn't be one to hold a grudge, right? RIGHT?!?!?
OVER / UNDER for tonight's game 30 points by Captain Jack.
This should be a fun one. Hopefully we'll see big minutes for Kemba, lots of blocks by Biyombo, and 20 apiece from the Dynamic-Dukie-Duo of Maggette and Henderson.
What do you guys think about tonight's game?

Not looking like Tyrus Thomas will suit up tonight. Crap. Need him in there.

Queen City - Opening Night Pre-game Notes & Quotes (http://queencityhoops.com/blog/2011/12/26/opening-night-pre-game-notes-quotes/)
Tyrus out, Smack will get PT...Silas worried about him "staying out there" due to possibly being foul prone. Plenty of Kemba tonight. Play a lot of zone due to worries about Bogut.
Also...Jackson says he's going to "try and kill us tonight"? Jab Step City!
No TV for me tonight. The plus side is I'll be in chat with all you guys grumbling about the crappy streams! Assuming we find one o'course.

Bucks going to kill it tonight i think!!! Specially if Tyrus aint playing!
Looking forward to seeing Jackson drive to the basket haphazardly and then get rejected by Biyombo.

Just want to say that out of shape Diop is better for this team at center than Diaw. Diaw is playing a good game but defensively, they got killed in the first half because of no inside presence.

Very nice win tonight.Several players showed up and did well. No real complaints.

I think we will see a lot of Kemba and DJ on the court at the same time. Diop has to get in shape or this team is in trouble. Carroll played terrible tonight btw. After seeing SJax blow up at the officials again, it was refreshing to see Maggette keeps his cool instead of whining to refs all night long.

With the talented youth on this team coupled with some veteran leadership and good coaching, this team will not be the worst team in the league this season. Too much heart to "suck for the #1 pick".

Great win . This team might not win many games this year but they will give you all they have. I thought that Kemba look good tonight .Now he must work on his 3 points shot

Had a lot of lol moments watching the game on the TV tonight. As bad and passive as we were in the 1st half; the second was all out.
Kemba is a stud.
Byron Mullens; Are you kidding me?!
Very nice of Hendo and Maggette to play so aggressively in the 2nd half.
Diop may actually be viable.
If Carroll could make his wide open three's the game wouldn't have been close at the end.
Biyombo isn't ready. He didn't seem to have any idea what he was doing. Hopefully a couple weeks of games and practices will help; but otherwise he may be D-League for a while.
I thought Diaw was our best player in the 1st half; which isn't exactly a good reflection on your team.
Did I say Kemba is a stud?

woooh! unfortunately, there are only 65 games left so we're not going to be able to catch the 95-96 Bulls.
i thought our rebounding was the key. holding a team that can't shoot to 8 offensive rebounds in a game and no second chance points in the second half until the last minute is really impressive. shoutouts all around!

Can someone tell me where Cam might have gotten a charlotte hornets hat that was new looking (still had tags on it), and wth was he wearing it with tags on...thats just a combo of dumb+dumber if you ask me...I bet jordan was about ready to smack him for that hat.

Unfortunately i will not be able to watch many bobcats games on tv this year as the auburn university cable does not pick up foxcr :(. understandable however. The bobcats however may be better than i orginally thought. Kemba may be our Cam. Responding to Tattoedcats. perhaps Cam was a Hornets fan growing up in Atlanta? and wanted, or had a Hornets hat instead of a Bobcats one. Wearing it too the game is tacky nonetheless. Would be great to see him more at games this season.

Old school NBA hats are for sale at about every mall in America right now. It's the new trend and the hornets hat is one of the most popular... In fact Jennifer Lopez's new boyfriend was wearing one about 2 weeks ago and the Charlotte Observer thought it was newsworthy....
I think they leave the tags in it to show how "new" it is. Pretty fucking stupid looking if u ask me.

You can get them in the Carolina place mall finish line...

If the team fights back and plays like that in every game, I will enjoy this team regardless of the result.

a Lady Cat brought him a Bobcats hat just before they put him on the jumbotron...but you could tell it wasn't big enough so he gave it to the kid beside him.

Awesome second half for the Cat, games like these the Bobcats need to win. Now the next two games, thats a whole different story...

I really enjoyed watching this game. I don't have TV or live too close to Charlotte, so I got NBA league pass online. Great quality, sure beats those illegal streams.
How about Byron Mullens, huh? First regular season game with the Bobcats and has a career-high game. I believe we got a potential steal in the 2nd round pick for him trade. His turnover in the end sucked, but he was otherwise solid.

Why didn't Smack get more PT? Unless he was injured I can think of no plausible reason.

Didn't catch the first half of the game but from what I read he struggled when he came onto the floor. Sounds like he could be a bigger project than we anticipated, but at the same time he's only been officially practicing with the team for rough a week and a half to two weeks. Ben Swanson on RufusOnFire commented that he hedged way too much on screens and allowed his man to get free to the basket.

Not arguing any of that, but the very best learning experience would be in game right? 3-5 minutes in the 3rd, couple in the 4th would only have helped in his overall development...and ultimately ours.
The RoF guy is right, but that's pretty common of all rooks...adjusting to the NBA's pace. Kemba's trying to adjust and he came off a pretty big stage. The only way to get adjusted is to get PT.

Guess Silas felt there best option was to play the players who were hot, especially after they came back. He probably could have gotten a few minutes in the 3rd but once the 4th quarter hit it was about winning the game. He needs to play, but we've got 65 more to go. He'll get in there.

Good fun and good atmosphere last night. Whether it's the holiday spirit, home/season opener, or the potential of something special over the horizon, I was impressed with the buzz in the crowd. After the malaise of last season it was a welcome relief and was just a whole lot of fun.
Not sure why it took Paul so long to get Kemba out there with DJ when Skiles had Udrih and Jennings both out there. It seemed an ideal time to try them in tandem...but thankfully he got it and they combined for the game winning points.
Great showing from Mullens. The Paul Silas magic is already at work with him. I was more impressed by the confidence to take the shots than by the fact they were dropping. Once again, thank you GSW for taking Kwame!
Jr. really is looking like the 2 of the future here....if he keeps if up, I'll be the first in line to admit I was very very wrong about him.
Jack: I can't thank you enough for the show you put on. If I didn't know any better I'd swear it was Game 4 against the Magic back in '10 playoffs. Just......thank you. I needed that to finally put a lid on your tenure here.
Biz: Larry Sanders??? I know you're raw, son, but yowza; no way you should get thrown down on by Larry Sanders.
Otherwise, just a fun night, win or lose, but it was great to get a win and be over .500 for the first time since April '10. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Lets be honest, Diaw was on track to get a triple double and Diop was effectively shutting down Bogut... did you want Smack to come in and play the 3?

I want the coach and the team to look at the bigger picture. Is it more important for an expiring Boris to get a triple double or Smack to get acclimated to the game?
Gana played almost 9 minutes in the 3rd quarter and we didn't really start cutting into their lead til near the end of his stretch. I don't think it would have wrecked the franchise if Smack had taken a few of those minutes.
Mullens played almost all of the 4th quarter. I did like what I saw from him...but again would it have been that big of a deal to give a couple of those minutes to Smack?
