Out to rest legs? Are you kidding me? Waste of money.

I dunno why he plays anyway, DJ White is better than him at everything except blocking shots.

Judging from our schedule, I figure him to be out again next week if the schedule is too much for him.

Just get rid of him already

I am seriously getting annoyed with him, he is not worth keeping. He has not been playing up to par, plus he is always injuried!

I can't believe someone had the balls to tell Michael Jordan and Paul Silas he didn't want to play because his legs were tired

#workharder my ass

Per Rick Bonnell, Silas rested Thomas:

Still, we're talking about tired legs. What kind of shape is this guy in?

27 minutes.

the first number is how much tyrus makes per game. the second number is how many minutes it took him last night to earn what i earn in 1 year. keep in mind he had one of the best seats in the house (one that costs me and you $400 to buy that he gets for free) and watched while wearing street clothes. so with 3 minutes to go in the first half he made my salary.

hate to say i told you so, but i told all of you so.

He's moved to the top of the Amnesty List this offseason. I think the "potential/ceiling" hourglass is almost out of sand. Thomas has been one of my favorite players since we acquired him, but since the playoff run, he has been oft-injured and has been inconsistent. That contract is terrible and if he continues to underperform this year, I think he has to be considered our amnesty victim. Especially if there is a stud 6'9 - 6'11'' draftee that we snag in the draft.

Rest? From what? Dude you just came back from a long off season?

You can tell he's not in shape, most of his jumpers come up short, that's from having no lift in your legs. And he's definitely lost weight and not in a good way either.

Tyrus getting blasted on his twitter. Maybe he should work on his improving his garbage ass game instead of tweeting.

He played like ass tonight. That push in the back to Josh Smith, then he was laughing like the dumb ass clown he is all the way to the bench. Yeah, jokes on you Tyrus. And he was constantly running straight into screens all night long the idiot.

Can we put this whole "potential" talk now to rest? He's almost 26, and he still sucks like he did 5 years ago. Stromile Swift 2.0

Somehow try to get rid of him and Boris and just roll with Mullens, Bis and DJW at 4/5

I'm with ya. I really think he's reached his ceiling. DJW is 10 times the player he is. I like Tyrus. I kept waiting for him to turn the corner, he just never did.

I said to not resign this guy but nobody listens to ol' Boomer

But we pretty much had to resign once we made the boneheaded move to give up a 1st rounder to get him. Otherwise, we would have given up a 1st just to rent him for half a season which nobody at the time would have been willing to fall on their sword and allow to happen.

Hindsight my friends..... hindsight. You have to give to get, and at the time, Thomas was 23, potential still swirling and we looked like a team that had turned the corner roster-wise. I didn't like giving up the 1st, but Thomas did fill a huge need and we just hoped he would pan out. It's been right at 2 years since the trade, and the window for his ceiling is almost shut. Someone alluded to Stromile Swift 2.0, and yes, he is right on that path. He will be 26 this summer and after 6 years in, I think (unless he shakes the rust off of the injury), its Amnesty time for T-Time
