They assured me if I bought nba pass I would get the BOBCAT games without blackout held my breath took a chance just knowing I was going to be having to fight for my money back...but nope...pass is on and there in the clear..I'm in nc..aprox 2 hrs from bobcats arena...

after buying nba pass they are even coming in on sport south plus...if you go to direct tv nba league pass schedule there is a place to put your area code in and it tells you what games are in the clear ...I didn't believe it was right...but I ask them and they said it was...it showed I could get the BOBCAT games with league pass...and for me atleast it was true

I'm in Starkville, MS and I couldn't pick up the CHA-ATL game the other night (I got NBA Pass, too). All prior non-nationally televised Bobcats games I could watch. I choose not to own a TV, so I couldn't just flip through the channels in hopes of finding it (had to settle for a mid-quality stream). I found out my area gets SportSouth Tennessee, but it didn't have anything about Bobcats or Atlanta games being shown on this SportSouth affiliate. I figured it was just an NBA.com glitch that night it was on blackout for me. I watched my fave hockey team tonight, and I forgot to check and see if I could simply pick up tonight's Cat's game. If I can't pickup the game on Thursday, I'll assume it might have something to do with them playing Atlanta again. If the Detroit game is blacked out, I'll be pissed.

Oh, medicemtp...forgot to ask. You said you lived on the NC/TN border. Does your area get SportSouth Tennessee as well?
Mississippi should be Grizzlies blackout territory, not Hawks. Then again, medicemtp's deal makes no sense, the Bobcats are *supposed* to be blacked out everywhere in NC and SC outside of the 75 mile radius, unless the provider chooses to pick it up.
Either way, I wouldn't complain too much :p

Charter Cable doesn't even offer NBA league pass let alone pick up the Bobcats games, wtf is their deal? I'm glad I don't directly pay them anymore what a garbage company

Go to the direct tv nba pass schedule on there web site and you can put your zip in...mine is 28714..I really didn't think it was right when i looked at it...I called and talked with them the guy I talk to assured me that it was dead on ...still didnt believe him..but I did get the bobcats games during the free nba pass..and was told by direct tv that all blackouts applied then also..so I took a chance and bought it...kinda strange to have to buy it to get your home team speicaly since I read that only a 75 mile radis..and the rest of nc and sc are blacked out.I know last year during the free pass they were blacked out.I work just a few miles from my home at the Ems we have cable there and sportsouth never shows the bobcats. What's crazy is during baseball season they show the reds instead of the braves on the cable at work.and that's like 8 hrs from here

yup blacked out for us 27713 ers. anyway, i called directtv for the 4th time last night and told them that if they don't start providing the games as dish and twc do i will be switching in 1 month.
the rep said well i can transfer you over to retention to see what they can do and i said it wasn't my intention to get free stuff when i called as i wasn't interested in free movie channels or a reduction in my bill, i just wanted them to show the bobcats. she seemed suprised at this and said she would pass it up the chain. i once again told her i really didn't want to leave just wanted them to provide the same service as their competitors in the area and that i really like directtv otherwise. so we shall see.

I live in Charlotte, a couple minutes from TWC Arena. According to that site, Bobcats games are not blacked out for me on NBA League Pass. Weird.
Is that just for Direct TV or would it work with League Pass on DISH too?

lol apparently I could get them if I got direct TV since although they are blacked out in Boone, I live on the outskirts of Blowing Rock where the zip code is changed. Heh. They were blacked out on league pass broadband...maybe directv is just clueless.
It also shows them as not blacked out in our 28205 zip code which is literally IN Charlotte. cant say I trust that site

I have AT@T cable and when the games are blacked out, I don't get to watch on SportSouth 729, but I get every home and away game on SportSouth Alternate 728. Weird but I won't complain.

i thought the thread "bobcats blackout" might be about getting wasted after yet another crushing defeat where you end up calling your ex-gf crying and waking up in the morning surrounded by empty dorito bags and you find your pants in your neighbors yard. shoulda known it was about tv stuff.

LOL@adam... There should at least be a placeholder for that.
On topic, does anyone know if the link above is applicable to League Pass Broadband as well?

I swear on Jesus Shuttlesworth's holy name the blackout is all Boris Diaw's fault

I saw in the Town Hall thread that Jordan mentioned trying to expand TV access, so I figured I'd give this afternoon's game a shot and it worked for me. I am right outside of Greenville, NC and last year in town I got all the games, but the beginning of this season I have been blacked out both on league pass and on Sports South. I'm not going to get my hopes up but it's a nice plus to be able to see the game today.

Give DISH a call. They're just as good and they're showing Bobcats in the Triangle.

Call DTV and have them change your zip code to the Durham zip code.
Then you will get the games.
