I think this is all Boris Diaw's fault.

Bringing in Blatche for veteran leadership is like bringing in Boris Diaw to motivate kids at fat camp to lose weight. If he was with Charles Barkley with Weight Watchers, he'd actually gain weight.
The Wizards named Blatche a captain this year to provide veteran leadership for the young team. They are now trying to trade him 10 games into the season.
Now if you want him for entertainment purposes in this lousy year, or his hunger for triple doubles, then I could understand:

Don't we have this problem every year though? "bobcats have no confidence", "the team gives up" "nobody wants to step up" "there lazy" "DJ's crying" "intimidated"...

Because the only leader we've had that would hold guys accountable on the court defensively was Raja Bell.
Because the only leader we've had that would hold guys accountable on the court defensively was Raja Bell.
And the only other semblance of a leader the team's ever had, period, was Steve Smith.

Yea and Eddy Curry. And baron davis! Ewww and jose caleron, hes a centerpiece. A starting five of baron, AI, Caleron, diop and curry would dominate.
For real though, if I had a nickel for every time some "analyst" or fan predicted some shitty, defensively impaired, washed-up player signing or being traded here, I'd be able to pay Jordan's gambling debts

AI is only a leader in the sense of someone going in a door before someone else.

MJ shouldn't call out the team that he built with no talent. Kinda hypocritical.

This. Like Keetch said, It's ok to be bad, as long as you're bad ass. They weren't even close to bad ass.
