This is actually the lineup I have been dying to see lately....and it's happening tonight according to Bonnell on Twitter.
Boris was benched for all the reason's we already know.
Discuss.

Thats the starting lineup? Its good to see Tyrus not playing SF and Boris finally getting what he deserves.

Should be interesting to see if the new lineup works.

I can't wait. I like this lineup as well. I love TT, but it seems like he's trying to do too much this year. Maybe because he's rusty from the injury. He keeps trying to take people off the dripple like Kobe. He needs to know his limits. He's got no handles.

Yep Tyrus was TURRIBLE guarding SFs...hello Joe Johnson, hello Jerebko. Interesting to see if moving him back to PF will yield better results, it should. But i don't know how we can have 2 black holes on the court at the same time.

Guess Silas figured we might could get away with the 2 PGs vs. Jenkins/Ellis. I think Kemba is a pretty darn good defender...but he'll have his hands more than full tonite. Ellis can be a beast.

I think Ellis will get Kemba pumped up. I can't wait to watch the game if this is the lineup.

Funny after he got benched, this is the first time I ever remember seeing Doris hustle.

That was my thought too.
I like this line up we're more agressive on Offense.

Will be interesting to see how long Silas stays with this after tonight's victory.

Has anyone been noticing Tyrus' lack of interest. He's always by himself during warmups, sometimes just standing and staring at nothing. During games, if he doesn't get the ball, he will stop trying and just stand still. Then he talks to himself about not getting the ball, and appears upset everytime he is subbed out.

YES!!! I was lucky enough to get really good seats to the Warriors game tonight (center court, 10 rows up) and I noticed that Tyrus was pouting big time. If he missed a shot, or didn't get the ball passed to him, or didn't get help defense he would just start pouting and stand around. It was like he was jealous Kemba was getting the ball at the end of the game. He doesn't seem like he fits in with these players. When the game was over, he just walked right off the court...didn't say anything to anybody. He seems frustrated.

He just shows his emotions and always has been like that. His preseason injury really hurt TT getting in shape. But I think as the season goes along he will fit in better.

TT is too skinny and can't handle the ball at all and his shot selection is god awful.

TT is not the same. I truly think is jealous of Kemba's ability.

i was about ten rows behind you in section 105 last night. tyrus was awful. david lee absolutely killed him. i would say trade him but who would take him. i sure as hell wouldn't. as for the starting lineup, had mark jackson not gotten away from ellis and lee like they went to them in the first half of the first quarter and jumped out to an early lead, they would have won. kemba could nothing with ellis defensively. it looked like ellis was going to have 40 pts. that lineup can not be successful other than for short stretches in games.
also, ellis is a player i would want no where near my team. all the skills in the world but awful teammate and only interested if he is getting his. that guy can not be your primary ball handler and team's go to guy.
also, as much as we hate diop, his teammates love him. he talks and laughs with absolutely everyone on the team.
my favorite play of the entire season happened in the first quarter on the complete ball rotation, kemba spot up three.
one more thing:
biz has the worst hands of anyone i have ever seen. the extent of his problems with both offense and rebounding is because he absolutely positively can not catch and has very weak hands while holding the ball.

I am a WFU fan (pretty woeful year to be me) so I try catch every game I can that Ish Smith plays in - be it the Rox or Warriors (never got a minute on air that I saw with the Griz) before he was waived last week. A few weeks ago, right after Curry's first ankle roll this year, Jackson started Smith at the 1, Ellis at the 2. I could have sworn that Ellis was actively trying to nullify Smith's assists. On several occasions, he'd act as the primary ball handler (when Jackson had Smith in as his PG) and eventually refused to put down an alley oop - instead, he caught it, brought it down, dribbled around and took a bad shot. Jackson yanked Smith initially but then a few more bad minutes of Ellis, he swapped them out. Ellis eventually came back into the game when Smith was out and managed to slop clanking shots to win the game but as a fan of Smith, it was about as surreal as it gets. I had heard he's a head case but this almost seemed slimey (and especially odd since my understanding is that Smith and Curry are buds). Just my .02, ymmv

No, Kwame has worse hands. Easily.
Biz has decent hands, you can just see him get over excited every.single.time. he THINKS he's gonna get the ball. He'll settle down with time in that regard. He's already better than when he first showed up.

i liked the lineup big time and though it may not work well against other teams with height and a better defense, it's arguably the best combo we can throw out there. Diaw needs to be off the bench and we really need to evaluate T2 this year. His game looks terrible, and I truly hope it's just rust and a slow start. If he continues on this path, Hellllooooooo Amnesty in the offseason. Especially if Biyombo and/or the draft pick is a PF, no way is Thomas worth that money. If Mullens proves to be permanent starter at center, no way can we have 2 jump-shooting guys at the 4 and 5 that vacate the paint on the offensive end. At least one needs to be able to bang around inside. Biyombo isn't scared, but he's probably a couple years away from being a starter. Tough call because I want Thomas to be our 15/7 starting PF so bad, but his attitude and play is not equating to that. On the positive side, Kemba and Hendo together were electric and loved the excitement that this lineup brought to the arena last night. If we're going to lose this year, I'd at least like to see that lineup go out there every night. Hurry up and trade Diaw so we don't have to worry about his value dipping anymore.

The thing about Tyrus is that he doesn't just suck, he's playing different and outside of himself. He wasn't trying to take guys off the dribble from the 3pt line last year. I'm not sure who told him that dribbling was part of his skillset.

First off, i was the one who initially brought up Tyrus and the fact that he seems to mentally not care anymore. I do like t time and understand that he can bring high energy defensive, hit mid range jump shots, and provide board support...only when he is engaged in the game though. I wish we got the good Tyrus every night kinda like getting the good Diaw.
The problem is that Tyrus truly thinks he is a 3. He wants to take guys off the dribble and handle the ball. For him to be mentally focused, he has to be on a good team that wins games or be the focal point of the offense. Unfortunately this is not the case here in the near future, so it is very possible we never really see what he is capable of when focused.

I think this line should have Biyombo instead of Tyrus in it. Scoring isn't really necessary with Kemba DJ and Mullens out there. Tyrus makes some nice plays but his dumb ones cancel them out. Biyombos not great yet but he damn sure gives effort and thats what Silas says he wants

Biyombo is a better defender than Tyrus too imo
The thing with Mullens and Biyombo is that they both love leaving their feet too much to rebound effectively.

so far this season and from what i saw last night in person, his hands are way worse than kwame's right now. i want to stress right now because kwame's are horrible in part because they are tiny tiny woman's hands. biz's hands are enormous, his fingers are long as shit. so he should be able to catch much better, IF the game slows down for him. big if.
but right now, he is the guy at the pick up game that you just don't throw to, because you know he won't catch it.

It is way too early to play the "if the game slows down for him" card on Biz when its not even his halfway through his rookie season w/o training camp, preseason, chemistry, etc.
Perfect example is when DJ hit him with a no look pass in the lane last night. Forget seeing it coming - Biz didn't even know he was open. They don't throw passes like that out in his Spanish league.

one more thing:
biz has the worst hands of anyone i have ever seen. the extent of his problems with both offense and rebounding is because he absolutely positively can not catch and has very weak hands while holding the ball. Well, now we acknowledge the elephant in the room. This is something I've noticed from the get-go with Biz but was kinda waiting on someone else to mentino it before I brought it up. I mean, I love the guy and love to see him on the court, but his hands follow in the long line of every other big man that's suited up for the Cats: Mek, Chandler, Kwame. If I didn't think it could be corrected, I would be worried, but I think it can be given time with a big man coach or coaches.
I actually think it's mistiming of jumps and concentrating more on finding a man to box out than looking for the ball that makes him a shaky rebounder right now, moreso than his hands. Like you say, he has massive hands, and when he does grab the board, he swallows it up.
**********
As for Tyrus, when has his attitude ever been good? LSU? Whereas some players use their emotions as a positive (KG), Tyrus's emotions continue to bring him down and sort of collapse in on himself. I want to continue starting him for the remainder of the year, but it's becoming apparent, if we ever amnesty, he's the one.
**********
As for the new lineup, I rarely stand for introductions, but I was so pumped by Paul sitting Boris and putting Kemba out there, I was indeed giving the standing applause during intros Saturday night.

i literally cant wait for the summer league this offseason with Kemba/Henderson (maybe, idk if he's too grown up for summer league)/Biz/Mullens/whoever we draft. I'll probably enjoy that more than the games we are playing right now. With that and the regular training camp we can have some real chemistry goin next year. Also I like this compressed schedule for Biz and Kemba, might be rough now but its gonna make it feel easy next season with all the days off and actual practice.
Echoing what's been said, Bismack's hands are the main reason he doesn't play much, but it's not because of a physical issue, just him catching up to the speed of the game, like everything else that's being thrown at him like defensive rotations, playsets, nuances of how to guard players or how to run offensive moves in the post, etc. that he never would have learned in Spain.
