View Full Version : Watching the Blazers over the Bobcats?

The Bobcats and Blazers are playing separate televised games at the same time. The Blazers are in a tight one going into the 4th, while the Bobcats are going into the final period down 15. Who do you watch?? Raymond and Gerald at crunchtime, or Bismack and Mullens getting some experience?
Let's take it up a notch and say Kentucky and UNC are playing on TV as well: a chance to watch our hoped-for lottery picks.
Oh, and you don't have anything like DVR........
Yeah, this is the dumbest topic ever, but I don't care.

the obvious answer is watch make my wife turn off the bachelor and turn our crystal clear hd tv to the blazers as i continue to squint at a blurry and soon to be felonious illegal stream of the bobcats on my 14" laptop.
the serious answer is blazers all the way. bobcats get the commercial breaks.

Really, you'd watch the Blazers over us?
Bobcats on a shitty screen over Blazers or anyone else...pro or college...all day and every day. That's pretty much been me for the last 5 years.

given the circumstances of us playing shitty down 15 vs an exciting finish to well played basketball game, i take the good game. if we are playing well and down 15 i take us and flip back and forth. the fact that i squint at a blurry feed every game should give an indication to my commitment to the cats.

I don't turn the Bobcats off until there's 0:00 left on the clock in the fourth.

Okay, Ammofan. Let's say the Bobcats are down 15 going into the 4th, but on another channel Adam Morrison is making his triumphant, post-Serbia return to the NBA in garbage time for some lousy team. You're watching Ammo, right?? Honestly I probably WOULD the first few times Morrison played.....

Assuming I don't ragequit, I would probs watch Bobcats until 0:00.
I love Crash, but I love my Bobcats more.
Plus I'm a mod, what example would I set to you little ones if I ditched the Bobcats in the 4th to watch Blazers?

I watch the bobcats regardless. Watching the Cats brings out the masochist in me. I'm a glutton for punishment...

Heck yeah I would...but I'm still going to flip back to the Cats and see whats going on from time to time.

And that would be the correct answer, good sir.

Probably take hell for this, but oh well:
Assuming it was as close and back and forth as the last handful of meetings between them have been, easily go with UNC vs. UK. Too many Tarheel ties to not go with that one. However, I'd switch over to the Cats game during timeouts and halftime. Pulling bigtime for GW and Raymond to do well in Portland but don't really care to watch them play for another team.
Also: not a stupid topic, Vet. This is a fun one!

In no way was I questioning anything. Because you sit thru and watch all those crappy feeds every night was why I was surprised.

too bad the NBA didn't schedule a Portland at Charlotte game yesterday or tonight with POR playing in ATL on Wednesday and in Toronto tonight. would've been a good game.

I'm watching the Bobcats with a periodic peek over at our potential future lottery picks during the commercials.

Leaving out UNC vs Kentucky because is watch that over any regular season nba game without playoff implications (at least since UK has been good again), I'm taking the blazers. I have to though because the bobcats are blacked out here. I have 2 tv's so if bobcats were on here id be watching both though.
Edit: has anyone had luck using proxy servers to watch bobcats games using their nba league pass broadband? I'm tired of missing games and resenting the team because of it.

Watching till 0:00 is left, and then watching the post game for the Silas Presser.... and then watching the directv logo while that stupid song plays as I mourn our most recent loss... then something funny to easy my pain.
No way am I switching to watch Gerald Wallace do nothing in a 4th quarter for a team that plays 1million miles away (give or take a few thousand). and most definitely not amateur basketball.

If I'm watching Portland, it's to watch Aldridge
