I don't think he was [last year] anywhere the liability on the court he seems to be this year. He seems timid all around and he seems to be shooting a ghastly percent. I don't think that was the case for his first stint w/ the 'Cats or even last year. I have wondered what is going on in his head this year.

Don't worry, as soon as Reggie Williams is ready to go, I believe you'll see less of Matt on the court.

I think this has always been the reason we've kept Matty Ice. He's never really been all that productive offensively. He's just a spot up shooter, not even a catch it off the screen shooter just a stand there a shot shooter. I like having Carroll on the team but without a real low post threat he's pointless.

when he got the ball on the three point line last night, drove to the rim, got blocked and fell flat on his face under the basket and laid there....that was one of the funniest things i have seen in a while.

Good question OP. But why is anyone still on the team at this point?

Because it wasn't enough that we giftwrapped Tyson Chandler (expiring contract) for Najera, we had to take him back as well.

Who else are we really going to run out there. Losing as many games as we are going to this season is tough and you need some good character guys. As long as he is a good teammate and locker room guy we need the karma of ending a long term relationship on a good note.

Say what you want about Carroll (and I've said a few myself), but he moved constantly on offense while he was out there. He never stopped, going thru screens and making Young chase him all over the court.

Next game he plays I'm going to try and pay particular attention to Hendo on offense when he doesn't have the ball. BW said he just "wings it"...if that truly is the case then I'd point out that him not being in constant motion is big contribution to our non player movement.

All these guys need structure. If Silas can make up a play or two and actually show them how to run it I suspect it'll help many more than just Kemba.

Last night Salis said with the Hammer scoring 17 . If we didn't have a fast break for now on we was going to run our offence. My question is what have we been running [street ball]

Yes we have. Silas admitted last night that he's pretty much been letting the players do their own thing. Is there any doubt now WHY these guys have looked so bad?

We're trotting a guy out at C who is undersized, has one thing going for him in that outside shot who has already logged more time in with us than he has his entire NBA career. At PF we've had a very struggling Tyrus who tends to be a black hole and at the 3 we've had Derrick Brown (jab step baby!). Hendo tends to park himself when he doesn't have the ball and we're now running with a rook PG whose 1st inclination has been to do it himself because that's what he was doing before he came here.

So let's just "wing" it!

Carroll knows what he's supposed to do on offense. He might not be good at it, but his insertion made us look better as a team.
