Found this interesting from Bonnell. Seems as if the organization knows Kemba is a 2 and Hendo has the tools to shine. Thoughts

Walker isnt a shooting guard lol, he would make a great point guard

Are you talking about Bonnell saying "transitioning from an undersized shooting guard to PG"?
Something tells me Jordan hasn't given up so quickly on the guy HE wanted in the draft. If he's that wishy washy then he should just stick to his Hanes.
Kemba is a rookie with no training camp and no practices (how in the hell do you make a macro so I don't have to keep typing this over and over and over and over?) as well as playing with a group who doesn't move when they don't have the ball.
He's going to need time before we have any idea what we really have. Just like DJ needed time.

Oh yeah, and Bonnell is an idiot. I don't believe half of what that guy says anyway. I've always felt the Bobcats throw him misinformation just to embarrass him.
"The Bobcats will not be trading for Jason Richardson"...3 hours before we did exactly that.

Bonnell also said last week that we wouldn't be offering extensions to DJA or DJW. Then BW came on here like 4 hours after Bonnell posted that and told us that the Cats offered lowball extensions for both. I think they do use him as a pawn all the time.

totally agree with this. No camp, No practice, playing behind an entrenched NBA point guard, and whenever he does actually get in the game (even when hes freaking starting) he's playing alongside Matt Carroll and Gana Diop.
To judge his future at the point guard decision from this point is a flawed approach.
I personally just look for the flashes. It is gonna take time for this whole thing to come together, but I see that he has court vision. I love that he throws up long passes to a streaking Mullens, and its not Kembas fault Mully fumbles it and has to pass out of trouble instead of an easy basket. The flashes of court vision, the very nice pass that doesn't always connect, the ability to create a shot anytime he wants, the quickness, the defense. All of these things can be seen from Kemba on any given night and I think these skills will continue to develop. As he develops his game and the talent around him increases, I think we have a great point guard for the future.

^ what he said; who would seriously constrain Kemba's career so soon by saying he's a shooting guard? That's as silly as someone saying Ray Felton's a 2 .. Oh wait ..
Please let's not go thru this again. Good grief.

How about "Kemba Walker is a rookie point guard with scoring abilities good enough for him to play the 2 if necessary due to injuries or a catastrophic lack of talent."

...and let's not forget the recurring refrain from Steve Martin that Kemba is so much better when Diaw is on the floor with him (DRINK!)
He says that at least once every game.
I really like that one. I'm sorry but no one is better off playing alongside Diaw. Mos Def.

Walker needs to attack the rim a bit more instead of settling for long jumpers, thats what Augustin is very good at

Hendo has played alot better this year, but he's always been a pretty well rounded player. Since the last 4 games have pretty much been blow outs I haven't seen much of Kemba's PG skills. But i'm sure he has the same problems he's had at SG. He's outta control alot but most rookies are, especially when they are trying to be the hero of a bad team. One on one Kemba breaks down everyone ive seen try to guard him. But this isn't college and those 4 other players are bigger and faster and Kemba get stuck going solo and takes a bad shot or turns the ball over. We have some bright spots on this team other than the top of Diaw's head, but not many

I don't see any problems with trying to have Kemba and Hendo on the team long term. If nothing else, Kemba can be a quality combo-guard off the bench. Ultimately, he'll have to make the adjustments to prove that he's a starting caliber 1, which I think he can. However, unless Kemba were to really show off some skills over the coming months, I wouldn't want to sacrifice Hendo at the 2 for a future of Kemba as a our starting sg.

Not too bad, I'm still hopeful about Kemba. He has the tools to succeed and as long as we don't hire a coach who is a complete moron and tries to use him everywhere (a la Fine Ham Biscuit) or completely destroy his confidence (a la Larry Brown) we have something that could work.

I wish DJ could get his shooting%(2's AND 3's) up to the point of his rookie season in addition to the PG skills he's developed. At least there's still time.

His % was higher because he wasn't the only threat to score most nights.

Silas said he’s not sure if Walker’s natural position is point guard or shooting guard. “I don’t know, to tell you the truth,” Silas said. “He played really well at the two. (Before) we started him, we were not scoring very well, defending very well—nothing. And the (five) games that he started at that position, our numbers just really changed—and changed for the better. We didn’t win a whole lot of games, but our numbers changed. So we’ll see what happens with (Walker starting at point).”

I have also seen this quote, it sickens me that we think Kemba can be a two... Hopefully after last night Silas will have changed his mind
