I personally love that we got bismack and kemba and love what we did on draft night. but i got a couple of friends who keep tryin to convince me knight will be better than kemba and the bobcats were dumb for passing on him....just wondering your thoughts on this?

Nah there's no regret for me because the word was Detroit had promised Biyombo they would take him at #8, and seeing Biyombo's potential I'm happy with him over Knight. Knight is similar to DJ so we really wouldn't have much use for him. At least Kemba's game isn't an exact copy to DJ.

On draft knight i wanted Brandon really bad... However, i love what Biyombo can be and I dont think Brandon will be that much better than Kemba or at all

Not at all. Knight hasn't been any better than Kemba so far, and I'd rather have Bismack than either one of them. We probably would have ended up with an Alec Burks, Marcus Morris, or Kawhi Leonard type of player with that second pick.

I'm confused why this a debate. Do you want Brandon Knight because of the Pistons 2 more wins than we have? Do you want him because he scores 1 point per game average more than Kemba while averaging 6 more minutes? Do you want him because he got a triple double in his second start...oh wait that was Kemba.
Kemba averages more blocks, steals and assist. With less turnovers. I've heard of the grass is greener, but this is getting ridiculous

I consider last years draft as the best in our franchise history.
We need to step back from the situation & realise this team is built to lose & stay calm about it, in my opinion we have one of the best rebuilding situations in the league right now.
People thought Washington & Detroit would be miles ahead of us in the standings but they aren't despite rebuilding for years longer than us. This is year number one in rebuilding & we have a DPOY type potential 19 year old who can play the 4/5 & a triple double threat PG.
Kemba is still adjusting to the league & has all-world potential imo, his shot is horrible right now but I think he will end up with 42%+ which is still horrible but at least not historically bad, his 3PT% of 33 is decent & a good sign.
Right now after reflection I'm glad that they have both had to earn their PT as it will make them accountable on the court, I do admit that Silas has confused me at times with his rotations but assuming he gives them the lions share of minutes from here on out they will end up averaging a fair amount. I can see 30+mpg for Kemba & 22+ for Biyombo.
*It's a shame that DJA got injured but I don't mind because it will give Kemba much needed time.
I love what we did in last years draft.
No way I would change it at all.

This post is fun for some of us to speculate on but the reality is that none of us are psychics and none of us know what the future holds. Both players are young and learning the NBA game and very few rookies come out being good enough to be all stars or even anywhere near there. My guess is that with the last several drafts the pg position has been fairly strong and just as the NFL is a QB driven league it seems the NBA is a pg driven league. Some pg's will of coarse be better than others but I think both Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker will be players who could make at least a couple of all star appearances. As of now neither is surrounded by very much talent overall. I am not going to knock Brandon Knight or Kemba Walker at this time. I have had some issues with Kemba's decision making early in the season but he is a rookie and as it has been pointed out a lot of it has to do with his limited teammates. Anyway, neither Brandon nor Kemba are far enough in their careers to base their future on anything. At least wait till year three before we really know what we have and what the Pistons have.
Hell guys there have been rookie players who had great rookie seasons and then fell apart and were never the same afterwards. At the same time a great many players had poor to average first seasons and went on to have great overall careers. At this time we can not read much into what we are seeing with our rookies. While Bismack looks good maybe he regresses. That is not to say I expect that and we should not find some positive things to take away from our young players. I am just saying that we can not really read too much into things either good or bad. A least not yet. Temper them with some realistic expectations either way. We still probably have at least two more lottery seasons. With the right pieces in place our future rookies will be better prepared to make at least solid immediate impacts. I imagine we will add some quality veterans to the mix and bring maturity and experience for the younger players we have and will have. Let us realistically look to 2014-2015 as the season we make some real noise. If it happens sooner that is great but I myself will not expect as much.
