great game from Bismack, i hope we start with him from now on becasue we seem to be much better on the boards with both Thomas and Biyombo on the floor.

he was 5/6 from the field which is very good aswell.

For someone so raw, he looked very comfortable out there tonight

I like how he got out and defended the P&R and got back to his man. The one play where nash was gonna slip it to Gortat and he made himself wide to block any bounce pass was great. What really made me excited for the future with him was the one post move he displayed. He set a screen for Kemba who curled around him, Diaw who had the ball drove to the basket and handed it off to Bis and he took one step and layed it off glass. That showed me something. A foundation that he can build on.

Bismack played great....he played real hard i loved seeing him out there and his offense isnt as bad as people say he has that little hook looking better and better every game. He works hard and we can see that i hope he starts more and gets more minutes he influences alot of shots by the opposing teams

I think Biyombo may be the smartest 19 year old ever. Guess you have to be if you leave home at like 14

Biyombo seems to know what it takes to be successful. He gets its, and that is great for our team.

Yeah, his skills right now have been up and down, but mostly impressive. However, his attitude and work ethic seem fantastic, making me think he has big things in store. He seems like he has Ben Wallace's work ethic and tenacity, even if he doesn't have Wallace's guns yet.

Is it true that Bismack had 7 blocked shots in 32 minutes in the win against Toronto?

Indeed it is. Along with eight points, and thirteen rebounds, five of which were offensive.

2 points, 3 blocks away from our second rookie triple double. the future is bright.

If there was only one guy you could pick that was responsible for that win last night it was Smack hands down. He had those guys afraid to go into the paint from the very beginning.

What I really want to see is the the PGs rewarding him more offensively. It certainly appeared DJ flat out ignored him a few times as well as Kemba. Granted they weren't wide open passes...but with all the work defensively Smack was doing he deserved more looks.

I couldn't agree more with this. He set the tone all day. not just in the paint, but with his attitude.

But I think Kemba was also a stand out last night. He made some absolutely star player plays last night.

Biz set the tone with that first block against Amir Johnson and Kemba had a fantastic second half. Glad Biz got the postgame interview with Stephanie...he earned it and his excitement was awesome to see.

Like I said a couple weeks into the season, Biz will soon be a/the captain of this team. Not only does he lead by example, but he is actively engaged with his teammates at all times on the court....think of what will happen when he has an off-season and a training camp and gains experience/knowledge from the PT he gets...

Smack needs more looks . Next season he will be a 16 ,10 , 5 on a regular basis . Hes proving the paint is his on a regular basis. I still see a good chance at all star in a few years. Next to A Davis this might turn into the toughest frunt court in the league.

It was awesome to see how happy he was to not only get a win but play a contributing factor in that win. he genuinely cares I think. And I also think captaincy is in his future, I just hope some vets or bad attitudes spoil his enthusiasm.

I'm sure some negative nancies rolled their eyes at this, but if Davis can do anything defensively in the NBA like he does in the NCAA its just the plain and simple truth. We could be downright scary downlow. I dont know who the best weightlifting coach is in the nba or pro sports, but if I was Jordan I would not stop calling and offering him a job until he signs.

Great game last night . He heald Hibbert down last night a all star . Hes all so showing flashes of a offencive game . Give this kid a off season to learn and he going to flat out be a beast . Did any one notice Hibbert calling him out at the end or the game patting him on the back . He gained Hibberts respect last night and Roy is the 2nd best center in the league.
Good artical

This is justifying 7th pick going to Bismack. Hope he keeps this intensity up and keeps learning at this rapid rate. His block which led to a fast break dunk for himself deserved to be in the top 10 plays on nba.com... but stupid linsanity n melo got 10th spot yawwnnn!!

Now I haven't seen the past few games in full so would anyone like to tell me which other big he plays best with andhas his handling improved when receiving the ball in lowpost?

Yes I did!

Did you also catch the bench's reaction on the next time out after he made the follow thru/dunk? Everyone (Kemba, Tyrus, Carroll, etc.) ran out onto the court to meet him and pat him on the back...all with big grins.

It seems he's got the other players on his side in regards to getting better. He's first in and last out of the gym...how can anyone not love this kid?

he impressed me last night for the first time this season. he is starting to look like he is catching up with the game. he and davis would make a hell of a front court.

I definitely saw all of that, too! I've also noticed since he's been starting that he'll literally catch and carry the smaller guys in his arms for a second when they jump up to greet him as he runs out...Biyombo smiling all the way. It may not seem like much as I write it here, but seeing it, it's just one of those intangible things that makes it clear to me that he'll be a leader of this team, hopefully for many years to come. I absolutely love this kid and am thrilled beyond belief that we'll be able to see him go from pup to beast here in Charlotte.

We saw just a small piece of the beast last night . This kid is going to be a star better than i even dreamed. Right now he sets better picks better than any one on the team. . You can tell hes going to be vocal all ready. If you watch him closely during the games hes asking questions and talking. . Ive even seen him telling other players where they should be . Did you see last night when Boris didn't even jump on a play and was between SMACK and the ball. SMACK got pissed off . He gave Boris that at least try to stop the shot [go to hell look ] He is infectous when hes on the floor. He will make others better. I think a lot of his game right now is attitude. He just has that it factor some how . Now i do know hes very raw and has tons to learn. But this kid is going to learn it.

About TT look at his face and eyes . Either hes very sick or on crack . He really does look like a crack head in his face and eyes. He was so soft last night even point guards was pushing him around. I really hope he gets it toghter because hes not going to last long in the league like he is now.

You reminded me Dav...the "clear out"! Martin was cracking up about it, but it really was a great thing. A kid in his situation and he was commanding his teams' players to get back. I also agree he's going to be a leader for this team...as you guys are saying he's already showing it.

I am SOOOOOOO happy we got this guy.

Which rookie big man would you rather have?

Bismack Biyombo

Kenneth Faried

Right now Smack is behind 47% to 53%.

Kemba fell to 5th from 3rd...but here's the line:

Walker helped the Bobcats end their 16-game slide with 14 points and eight assists in http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/img/2.0/global/nbaVideoCamThumb.gif a 98-91 win in Toronto, and he's starting to shoot at a higher clip, as well. Walker is 37 percent on the season, but in his last four games he's gone 26-for-60 (43.3 percent) and 8-for-15 (53.3) from 3-point land. Even more impressive is Walker's decrease in turnovers. In 19 games in January, the point guard averaged 2.3 turnovers in 28.7 minutes per game. In February, while playing more minutes (33.4 per game), he's only averaging 0.6 turnovers. That's a considerable dip, and he's done it with D.J. Augustin out for six of Charlotte's nine games this month.
-- Feb. 220.6 TOs in 33.4 MPG. I never saw that one in regards to Kemba.

At the end:

Still, Morris has done enough and is crucial enough to the Suns' success that he sticks around on the bottom rung. With rookies like Bismack Biyombo and Kawhi Leonard putting up big lines lately, his standing is on shaky ground.

Smack's starting to be noticed.
