Didn't watch the video, as I don't really care.

However, I think it's way too soon to say if Jordan can run a team or not. Remember, when he took over, we were a team on the brink of playoff contention. He was trying to make it work with the pieces we had by changing out some. Clearly, there were missteps, but it was not a strategy that was likely to work given the talent that we had. He's realized that now and dropped the bomb on this team, trading away everybody to save money and acquire youth and picks. I think at minimum, we need to see what we look like in three years. We really don't have much of an indication until then.

1. How can an owner be fired?
2. They'll change their tune as soon as something good happens.

I just saw this on tv and these people are a bunch of clowns.

1. Tyson Chandler was not good here. He needs superstars. We did better when he was injured.

2. A lot of teams would like Walker, Henderson, and Biyombo. That one clown thought he would be funny by ripping on Biyombo's name. The kid is 19 showing a terrific attitude to go with his raw talent.

3. The Bobcats are tanking and developing young talent. Doesn't anybody get this??

4. Two years ago they were in the playoffs. We are starting over.

5. Just about every team would have liked Adam Morrison as a lottery pick.

I couldnt watch the video, but I probably wouldnt have any way as Jemele Hill is tagged in the video and she is the worst thing that ever slithered into ESPN. Judging by the people they have talking on that panel, I wouldn't piss on the desk if they were on fire. So before we even begin, this conversation is over because she nullifies any worthwhile substance we could talk about.

The fact of the matter is that this wouldnt even be on ESPN first take if it was your average millionaire owner. Donald Sterling has owned the Clippers for ever, and despite a pretty decent team right now...still to this day hasn't won anything. He just happens to own a team in the biggest city in America and gets the people who can't afford Laker tickets. Who owns the Wolves? Who owns the Grizzlies? you probably don't know without Google, and even if you did know, they aren't getting any runtime on ESPN first take and having their jobs questioned on tv because of their terrible records. So the argument is stupid. Are the Bobcats bad right now, yes. Should Jordan be fired..... no. Is it super easy to look at the Bobcats record, then realize how much saying the word Jordan increases their ratings? hell yes it is.

It's been discussed a million times, but as an owner Jordan has done very few things that someone else in his shoes would not have done. Its just the plain and simple truth. You can cry and whine about Gerald Wallace all day long, but get back to me when Portland is quickly shuffled out of the playoffs. It still blows my mind that any fan would want the front office to shoot for mediocrity.

Jemele Hill has 2 patterns she bases everything she writes or talks about on. 1. Play the race card quick and heavy. and if that don't sell.... 2. Pick the easiest target you can find and shit all over it. She sucks and is the exact reason ESPN is the cesspool of talking heads it has become.

If you go to ESPN for Bobcats analysis... you will never be happy. As far as they are concerned, there are only 4 cities in the country that matter, pander to them and shit on the rest. Its what they do, play to the highest demographic. Business wise it obviously works, analytically its total bunk horseshit.

and by the way bes, i realize how tough it must be to go out on an edge and bash a 3 and 25 team, but I just got the video to work and there isn't a smattering of truth to anything those 3 idiots uttered.

I think they are very truthful, and I don't even watch ESPN or like talking heads like that. Even still, thats our public perception right now. That video.

Jesus Fucking Christ!!!! When will people realize JORDAN ISN'T THE FREAKIN GM!!!! Tyson Chandler sucked in Charlotte, he was horrible. Would anyone with a lottery pick not give Morrison a look in 06? Plus we are a REBUILDING team! Keyword, REBUILDING team!!!!! If you aren't a major market ESPN wants nothing to do with you. I'm so friggin sick of hearing all this when NOBODY HAS A FRIGGIN CLUE WHATS REALLY GOING ON!!!!! Atleast Jordan has a plan to succeed and unfortanatly it involved us going from middle of the road to complete crap, but atleast we have a good GM who has made a team great before and for once we have a good plan for the future.

Sorry for the tyraid but that piece of fine journalism just really got under my skin.

They make me want to slap the hell out of them. They probably don't watch our games, research our team, etc. Just trying to sell ratings by saying Jordan sucks, Bobcats worse team ever, all on his birthday. So when someone sees a story of MJ's birthday, they will see oh, yeah he sucks as a owner. Like everyone said, Tyson sucked while here. They missed the news that we are rebuilding after MJ was not happy being mediocre or middle of the road.

It's not really all that truthful....The Morrison debacle was Bickerstaff, along with May over Granger....the only "damage" Jordan did was the Tyrus, Chandler and Wallace deals..it's funny how you nail the Bobcats for dealing Wallace and Jackson when Wallace isn't exactly lighting the stat sheet up and Jackson is imploding in Milwaukee. If you can name me another small market that managed to stay relevant by staying over the luxury tax....feel free, but most likely, you'd be wrong

I just watched this bullshit. Fuck ESPN I'm tired of this catering to the big market shit and whenever you talk about us its the same old "contract the team" shit, they dont have any players, and why did they get rid of Chandler and Wallace. Always play to the lowest common denominator. Do your damn job for once, but well no because we're not a big market. I wish we could post a response video to where they have to see it.

Felton--garbage now
Jackson--literally quit on his team
Wallace--declining
Chandler--on a $55+ million dollar contract we simply wouldn't have gotten for him

You can be hindsight haters all you want, but those four would be costing us $39,864,338 million this year. No way do I want to commit 68.7% of the salary cap on 4 players that couldn't get us past a first round sweep.

I watched this video against my better judgement and it made an old phrase come to mind...Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. That group is completely clueless and really shouldn't be. It's their job to have an understanding of sports beyond that of the general public and they proved beyond a shadow of a doubt they don't.

You can tell they honestly think this team was put together with the idea that it could win a bunch of games and be a playoff contender. We're clearly rebuilding, but that's not important...MJ's team has lost 16 in a row! Fire everyone right now! He should fire himself as owner (how exactly does that work, anyway?)! Contract them! (The height of idiocy in that segment...that guy covered the Heat and there have been plenty of years they were terrible. Why are they still around?) It's a knee-jerk reaction and they should be embarrassed by this.

And the trades? Felton? You mean the guy who's complaining publicly about his coach lacking confidence in him? Wallace? Great Bobcat, but he is on the decline, I believe. Jackson? Can't have that guy anywhere near young players you want to be the foundation of your franchise. Or anyone you want to be that. Think Milwaukee would do that trade again now? Chandler...please. He was useless here. He had to be begged to get on the court. The way he handled his time here was less than stellar, to say the least. That group doesn't build a future, the current roster does.

That video is the basic knee-jerk reaction that many have to this rebuilding strategy. It's such a foreign concept to many...losing now to win later. Mind-blowing to a lot of people actually. I don't know how many time I've had to explain/defend it at work and received a look like that's the craziest thing a team could do. For casual fans, I get it. For sports reporters? They have to better than that.

Is there a way to contact any of these "reporters" and send them the link to this thread so they could have a clue? An email address or something?? Maybe one of them would actually read this and try a little harder to gain some knowledge at some time. I wouldn't hold my breath, but....

My point in posting this was not because I agree with their sentiments, which there are def some valid points in there, but to show what the general perception is of our franchise.

tweeting them hate or emailing them this link will only fuel their idiotic blaze. Thats why they do this type of stuff. They know that talking about the big cities in a pleasant light keeps the ratings high, and they know the passionate fan bases of the smaller markets will continue to push back. Either way... you're watching. I think the important thing to remember here is the first letter in ESPN stands for entertainment and when all is said and done basically means nothing.

Lets be honest these guys are on TV for entertainment. Them ripping MJ is controversial as he is most basketball fans favourite player, this creates viewers. Those RETARDS are NOT basketball pundits, and if they call them selves so then they are an embaressment to other pundits. They obviously do not know anything about the our Bobcats, if they did they would understand that we are rebuilding and that our old squad was never going to go past the first round of the play offs while being one of the most expensive teams in the NBA. whats the point of that? This infuriates me they allow such morons on ESPN but what can anyone do

I saw this on teevee as I was getting ready to go to work and I just went slack-jawed at the bullshit spilling out these peoples mouths. And then I realized, 'Oh, yeah, ESPN.' The premise of the question itself is moronic (like Swedd says about firing owners...WTF?!?), but how about getting an informed panel to ask the question to. Football fucktards and a guy whose world revolves around Miami. I mean, come on, ESPN; I've learned over the years that you're not better than this but at least act like you give a shit.

And yeah, I don't expect professionalism or insight from anyone who appears on that tabloid fluff show (Stepen A. Smith and Skip Bayless are regulars...that says it all) but the guy making fun of Biyombo's name (again, uninformed) crossed the line of stupidity. Instead of explaining why no one in the NBA would want Biz (back to that insight thing) let's all yuk it up like the sit-com stars we aren't.

In case you couldn't tell this irked me most of the day yesterday and was contemplating an email to the show but I don't think they'd get it. Thankfully karma stepped in as I saw the following scroll across BottomLine last night many times:

Biyombo 8pts, 13 rebs, 7 blks.

I actually like Michael Smith, but he doesn't understand. He got so worked up over the fact that MJ is the "ultimate competitor" yet can't win as a GM. Its for that reason that he couldn't, his past decisions of making impulse decisions to win now have cost our long term future. Smith neglected the fact the team has blown itself up to win later on.

And Jemele Hill, well she thinks Jordan Brand is causing people to kill each other so no more needs to be said.
