View Full Version : Question About Which Carrier To Go With For Bobcats Games

I know we have discussed this at length in the past, but I'm getting ready to move and was wondering which carrier would give me the best chance to see our games? I'm buying a house in Johnston Co., in Clayton (great deals, beautiful new neighborhoods - I never thought I would want to move there...), and wondering who I should go with? Time Warner, DirecTV, or Dish?

I can't remember which one people were saying carried the games on an alternate channel in the RDU area, but technically, we'll be about 35 mins or so out of Raleigh, so we should get the same coverage.

Suggestions?

I wouldn't be so sure, but most likely someone is from Clayton on here?

In Raleigh DISH has it but Direct TV does not (I'm actually about 15 miles west). I'm pretty sure TWC has it all over the area...but I'm not so sure in Johnston Co.

as the durham area expert in this subject, go with DISH NETWORK. all games in HD. DirectTV does not show it for sure. confirm with DISH or a DISH customer to be 100%. i am switching at the start of next season.

BigCatBobcat lives in Youngsville I believe with TWC and gets all the games in HD now I believe. Probably your safest bet. I would still go with DirecTV and take a chance, because its just better.

they absolutely positively do not carry cats (blacked out) and have no plans to do so in the future.

Personally I love DISH. I've seen every game but one in HD, and I've also got the Blockbuster add in for streaming.

And the wife LOVES the bill (she must...I hear about it all the time).

Okay, I think I need to go with Dish then to be safe. That kind of sucks though because I was looking forward to getting Directv for the NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL Network as well. Any advantages in prices with Dish over Directv?

Dish is about 30% cheaper.

I have TWC I live in the Pinehurst Area (hour south of Raleigh 2 hours west of Charlotte) and I get every Bobcats game in HD in channel 1522. in SD it is channel 522. This is called the Special Events channel and it is specifically devoted for Bobcats games only

Do Dish or Time Warner carry NFLN and Sunday Ticket?

DISH has the NFL channel but I don't think they have Season Ticket. Isn't that exclusively DirecTV?

I live an hour and half outside of Charlotte and have DirecTV and get every game for no extra cost. Really its only that silly area around Raleigh that doesnt get the games, but they get the city of Charlotte back by not sending any state money to fix the roads.

I live in Philly but taking a job in Rock Hill.

Does anybody know if uverse is available in Ft Mill or Rock Hill, and whether they carry the Cats? Up here in Philly people are so spoiled...Comcast Sports Net carries EVERY Sixer and EVERY Flyers game, and 90% of the Phillies games.

I have uverse in Columbia and I get every game in HD. Dunno how much that helps

Uverse is so hit and miss, best thing to do is call them with the address you're moving to and they can check. Comporium in Fort Mill and Rock Hill does carry them now, so that's at least a good fallback option.

I hate uverse. I won't be going back to them after our contract runs out. Internet is hit-or-miss, cable is wonky, and I'm still waiting on replacement wires for the living room box.

I have TWC in my Indian Land house, and I can't seem to find the games. Though it's probably because the package there is the basic of the basic level

New here, I'm sure there is a thread about this somewhere. What's the real reason that games are not on when I try to watch SportSouth in Asheville. Also what is the best way to watch games here in Raleigh?
