What happened to him? he use to be my fav at UNC and my fav bobcat but he never accomplished anything since he been in the NBA, as everyone knows his best time was in NY under dantoni, but after that i hate to say it but he sucks, he doesnt even carry a good attitude on court, if you ever watch him play he beats himself up alot if he throws a bad pass, a turnover, or bricks, kinda glad we got rid of him, he wouldnt have done a thing for us anyway:(, hes not fast (he is when he wants to be but its not his game), hes not flashy, he plays bigger then he is, as if he weights 200+(nvm checked nba.com and it says hes 205lb) anyways it just feels like he plays like he got alot of weight to carry. Ok i'll say he plays like hes 250+, he just had a wide body. But back to his attitude but he plays facing his head down as if he has no confidence, you ever notice how he brings the ball up court lookin downward for a few seconds? Just watchin him in portland seeing his expressions after all his bad passes he forces is amazing, then on top of that he cant shoot. I love UNC players but i dont want none of them near my team when it comes to professional basketball.... including barnes:cool:

Maybe he's lost his passion for the game?

Since leaving the Bobcats he's played for 3 different teams in a short span. I think he was excited about playing in New York, and then he was traded and traded again. I remember reading before about the state of shock and pain players feel when they get traded. We all know Gerald Wallace was stunned. Maybe getting traded twice affected Felton similarly. All of this is completely speculative obviously.

I'll always respect him because he always played hard and showed leadership while in Charlotte. Shame he's overweight and unproductive now.

Worked extremely hard on the defensive end.
Was so good in D'Antoni's system because he was excellent in a fast paced run and gun situation, whereas not so much suited to LB's half court offense setting.
Is a shame what happened to him.

He got really out of shape over summer so came into this season already on a downer. Nate Macmillan has been down on him all year and since he has gone Felton's play has actually picked up a little bit

I would take take Felton back in a sceond at the
right price . He shows toughness few do. He needs a place hes wanted and a fresh start . When he was playing for us he he was the ultmant team player . And in the right envirment. As far as cutting UNC players down And saying you don't want any near your system including BARNES is about like saying MJ never won a champion ship . And sucked as a player . Its not the team or conf you come from in the pros . Its if you can be good at the next level whitch many ACC players have. So i see no basis at all for your NC statement.

I think the system has a lot to do with it.

The other thing is that I think he's one of those types of guys who has to have a more personal connection with his team. The Bobcats and Knicks both went after him in terms of draft and then free agency. He was just a chip in the last two trades. Compounded with being in bad situations, and he just went downhill.

I think he can regain momentum though, but he's going to have to find a new home.

Would not bring Ray back. Happy to see Kemba take the reins and watch his game mature. Dont think Ray can accept coming back and knowing he will be a backup. But if he was totally 100% on board and knows he is Kemba's backup, and the price was right, it would be something to possibly consider. Possibly.

If I could guarantee those 2 things (on board coming off the bench in a backup role and the right price) then I would be 100% on board with bringing him back.

I never said that. When I said "system," I meant the system on an NBA team.

It's foolishness to say you wouldn't take a NC or ACC player. I'm not Tarheel, but NC has one of the best NBA pedigrees.

I wish the guy the best of luck. He was very passionate about playing here even when we were bad (still are). Im pretty sure he wants to be a starter for a team like before. He's going to look for a team that is in need of a good PG with out having to worry about splitting time or somebody taking your job. Sacramento or Utah would be a good fit for him. Both are in need of a PG.
