Assuming there is basketball Gods and we draft A. Davis first overall who do you want in the 2nd?
We will need a sg / sf. Someone that can score / shoot.
Im hoping for Quincy Miller. He is projected high second round. Although he hasnt lived up to the hype his first year at Baylor the kid just has too much potential to pass up imo.

If not him id like Kim English from Mizzu. Good size at 6'6 and can stroke it from downtown.

Qincy Miller is a predicted late lottery mid first rounder... Not a second rounder. Would be nice but sorry....

Sorry but this totally voids your argument... I would ignore all draft sites apart from Draft Express to some extent anyway...

not much of a stretch to think a mid 1st rounder that severely under achieved could fall to the very top of the 2nd.
Im holding out hope.

But in answer to the question I want us to draft Jae Crowder if we get another 2nd round pick. I love the fact we will get the 1st second round pick, that is very valuable as 2nd rounders dont have the same gurantees as 1st rounders. But i reckon we take whoever drops out the first round... mabe Fab Melo

since you guys debated about Quincy, I'm praying he fall to the second round but I doubt it. I really have not decide yet. Fab Melo would be good but we would be crowded up front.

Get Davis with the 1st pick than T. Robinson with our second round pick.

Maybe Beal. Its just hard to choose between him and T. Rob.

Of course Davis is 1st. After that its a toss up from there on out but here are some of other players in the top five.
Reggie Hamilton - Best scorer this year.
Doug McDermit - Carried that Creighton team to the tournament. Was one of the best scores in the league for awhile.
Jay Threatt - One of the best defenders in the game. Had so many steals.
O. D. Anosike - Best boarder around and everybody knows how rebounds transfer so well from college to NBA.

My 2nd picks Kids who may or may not be around . D Lamb , seems to be falling into our area
J Jenkins , With a JJ redick shooting touch , Im thinking more like a D Curry Projected late first could slip.
CJ Leslie Think GW just a little stronger . Right now under valued . I expect him a mid first pick , But projected early 2nd right now.
Fab Melo . Don't like bigs this late but love the name ,size and athletic ability
D McDermit , just don't like the kid . But hes tough , and can play
My first round picks top five in ordor.
A Davis . Seems to be a total packege
Kidd Gil , A toss up hear between him and Barnes
H Barnes , Looks as if the pro game is made for him , Could be a no#1 option
J Lamb , The kidd can score
Sulinger , Most NBA ready in the draft class , A safe pick , A solid player for years to come.
Most under rated player in this class .
J Henson . Hes going to be able to board at the next level, His midrange game is better than most think . He plays with energy and a chip on his shoulder. Strenth seems to be the knock . This kid will be up to
230 be for season starts . I could see 240 his 2nd year , Look for a much better carer from him than A Randoff or B wright . This kid will be lejit . Hes not that far behind A Davis.

Dude.. seriously you have to do some research. These guys will never be top 10 this year. Robinson and Beal are both lock for top 5. Seriously you cant even argue that...

put me on the scott machado train, specifically if dj is gone and kemba continues to struggle with his pick and roll game.

plow, I was fucking with you. I was just trolling to see who was going to bite. I had a real top 10 list for us in the draft pick discussion. Its been awhile so I might have to give that a update on that.

If we came out of this draft with Anthony Davis and CJ Leslie it would automatically be our best draft ever.

If we do indeed get the number one pick and take Anthony Davis. I say we take Anthony Davis again with our second round pick... just to be sure.

Scott Machado. He´s averaging 13.6 PPG, 5 RPG, 9.9 APG, 1.6 SPG, with 49 % FG, 40% 3P, 81% FT.
He can be our PG starter. He´s a good play maker and very undervalued.
If we can pick him, we can trade Kemba and get a top 10 pick.

Its possible that Quincy drops, he had an inconsistent freshman year, and hes coming off an ACL surgery, remember Blair dropped like mad when he was projected to go where we picked in the first round of that draft

Yeah I love Quincy but he's not the same as Blair because I think he had no ACL whatsoever, I don't see why people don't pick this kid in the 1st but hell why do I care actually if he falls to us.

I reckon Quincy goes back to school. He would be the go to guy with Perry gone. One more year could be really good for him.

Guys don't realize how good CJ Leslie is going to be . Kid could start next to Davis and Smack . I know hes projected as a tweener but will be a solid Three in pro.

I go to State, and the strides Leslie has made this year have been remarkable. In particular his last ten games he has really turned it on. He is agressive, can get boards, a solid shot blocker at the collegiate level. If Leslie fell to the second round it would be a must pick. Personally I think if he stays another year he becomes a top ten pick. So getting him a year earlier would be a steal for us.
dav7z
03-30-2012, 12:22 AM
He would be a steal at 31 for sure . He has a nice midrange game . Quick with p/f moves around the basket . He gets his shot off with ease around 7fts. Could use work on a 3pt shot . Overall i would take him right now over Zeller , Rivers , Henson for different reasons . But with his NBA body style of play he should have a solid NBA carer . But in pro i expect he plays the three.

I don't know enough to choose a specific player. However, I hope we take the best player available, perhaps a guy who dropped for some reason, rather than draft for position. It's just not important with what we have at the moment.
I really want us to go big-- meaning high ceiling-- this draft than anything else.

Year, we are going to have the number 1 pick of the second round so I imagine we will just take whoever drops out the first. Theres always someone. Maybe we should be looking at late first rounders rather than 2nds

anyone think D.Lamb can run the point for a stretch, he's a decent passer, great handles and has decent size 6"4 it would definitely help on D.

I think he can but his tourney run may have propelled him into the 1st round. If he falls I'd think we'd have to at least give him a look.
