Eddy Najera for me used to be a spare part who I used to think " oh here we go" when he came in the game. However watching him out there play D, get steals, talking to the opponents always with a smile on his face. He is becoming one of my favs to watch out there. He is a good pro but always plays with a smile on his face

good fundamentals seems like a nice guy and gives us 6 extra fouls whats not to like oh except maybe when he starts chucking 3's up

The man they call Machete.
I like him. Gives everything he has (which isn't much, but he still gives it his all).
One of those guys who never was really that good, but you played him because he always gave it his all. And hes rather handy on defense surprisingly.

My dream for this season is to see him dunk it.

Some how Eddy Najera, the one guy on the team who has the least to gain from trying his ass off, plays with more heart than anyone we have. Najera is likely on his last contract. He could easily sit on the bench and whine and play lazy because he's getting paid and this team is obviously trying to lose. there is literally no reason for him to care. Yet for some reason the guy comes in and does the hard fouls, doesnt let the other team get away with easy shots and runs the floor like its the playoffs. I love the guy.

i wish his and matt carroll's contracts were reversed. does all the little things and seems like a genuinely good guy. i'd take him over boris any day.

I have to say, I used to hate Najera straight up because I thought he was of no use to us and had a terrible contract. But I'm with most of you guys, he's a good player to have and you see he gives all that he can. I honestly think he's going to retire after this season, but these young guys should learn from him. I could see him being a coach one day.

I defended Najera only because I have watched him on other teams and knew what he was. I agree with most of what is said here. He cares and that says a lot about him. Plus I love when he said KG hits like his grandma.

Apparantly Eddy does want to be a coach. Hopefully finds a place here in Charlotte :) I could think of worse, also he might help future internationals settle in

No one loves El Machete here more than me. He's this teams enforcer. Sweaty Eddy makes plays even though he's like 67 , I hope we keep him for a while longer

Honestly, I like Najera more than Mullens. Najera knows what kind of player he is, Mullens thinks he's Dirk f*cking Nowitzki on some nights.

He's still a joke to me, i can be a fan of the team but not the scrubs on the team, i put him in same category as kwame, both these guys bring the value down, najera is just worst

Very commendable to him...but pretty damning for everyone else. There is NO excuse for the ones not busting their collective asses. If they won't fight now I don't want them here tomorrow.
