It hurts to be a Bobcats fan. We all know it. Amidst the 7-43 season and the "Bring Back the Buzz" campaign that humiliates me for owning any Bobcats gear, I needed an injection of the better times. I think we all do. So let's use this thread as a means to remember the best moments of our franchise, knowing that hopefully sooner than later we will have more of these.

We lost this game, but some of these highlights are awesome, particularly the excitement of the crowd.

Once again, the crowd here gives me chills.

And of course, Gerald Wallace's 2010 All-Star Weekend.

Positivity!!! I love it (even though honestly I have horrible memories of that playoff series, and it reminded me that we started Theo Ratliff?!) That intro video still gives me goosebumps though. When its good here... its really good.

As far as that Bring Back the Buzz thing goes. I was pretty disappointed in them at the game friday. I have been one of the people on board for getting the name back. But coming to a Bobcats game and loudly cheering for an opposing franchise is a silly way to get your point across. They would have made a much more significant influence had they showed up in the colors and cheered for the Bobcats only instead of the New Orleans Hornets. Starting conflicting chants of Lets Go Hornets when the Lets go Bobcats chant starts is a pretty screwed up message.

I was at Game 3 with my boy, and I can honestly say that's about the only time Time Warner Cable Arena felt like the old Hive. That place was on fire, and we were only a 44-38 7th seed. It doesn't take a ton to get it going here, and the fact that we're still 21st in attendance while being the worst team in the league by far says a lot to me.

We actually were talking about this whole Hornets debate, and I think a nice compromise would be to bring the colors back and let the name go. A color rebranding doesn't cost as much and several teams have done this throughout the league the past few years.

I've thought about this as well, and I think about what the Wizards did going back to the old Bullets design. Could the same work here?

I too have some pretty bad memories from that playoff series. I remember sitting in my seat for about 30 minutes after game 3 talking to some random guy about how terrible Ray played for letting Nelson drop 32 on his head with 5 WIDE OPEN threes. We had that game won and it would've been awesome seeing our first playoff win in person but he dropped the ball.

Man, that team was really good. Just one player away. Shame.

That stretch got us national attention. Miss that.

Biyombo's block is the best moment of this season IMO.

Gerald's tip in winner against Memphis was awesome as well. I had forgotten about it.

And Derrick Brown...he is the man.

These are good guys, I'm already starting to feel better. :D

I'm convinced that if we had kept our one winning group together for a full year, maybe adding a younger center to replace Ratliff in the off season, we wouldve been at least a 6th seed. With injuries, signings, and trades they really only had half a season together. We only got swept because Orlando is a team that could set off the great defense we played using their 3 point shooting + Dwight. I miss that team :(

But Anthony Davis/Bismark/?????/Henderson/Kemba will be fun to watch.

I was at that game 3. The atmosphere was fantastic. Could've won that thing too, but I think Larry Hughes took an ill-advised jumper on a key last minute possession......

Please Hendo, improve your ball handing and be more aggressive on offense so you can raise that scoring average to 20 per game.
Also please go back to dunking on everyone like you did on college, you're too afraid to challenge people now (only time I've really seen that was when you challenged the Manimal. Would love to see more of you aggressively trying to dunk it on people).
Much regards

I was at that Kings game. The Cats put on a dunkfest in the first half. Tyreke Evans was unstoppable, but we pulled out the win. I had one of those nba-disliking, "the college game is way better" friends at the game and he had a blast.

Spirits were high that day. I grabbed some pizza at that joint next to Strike City afterwards....

The defense that they played during that stretch in January was absolutely devastating. That was the best of times.

Oh I know it was, i wasn't talking about our home record but our ability to compete for a championship. But I take your point, people were beginning to respect us in the league. Oh well so much for that #worst record in the league

That defense was spectacular. Flat out, if they decided the other team wasn't going to score on them, that team did not score. Period.

In hindsight, looking at that playoff team, tearing it apart the way we did really wasn't a good idea. Let Tyson come back in his contract year and perform, LB gives Hendo playing time, and Raymond is resigned with the money he desired, last year's team really could've been a good one.

Look at the way Raymond played when he was motivated in New York..he was playing among the best point guards in the league. Our team last year could've been absolutely fantastic:

Raymond (who could've possibly averaged 7-8 assists), Jack and Crash (developed great chemistry as a duo), Boris (who enjoyed and played well in LB's system), and Tyson (could've stepped in and been that 1 year rental and the "missing piece" we needed in a contract year).

And then DJ and Hendo providing solid minutes if LB would've ever played him along with Tyrus (who also played well and defended very well under LB), we would've had a stellar bench too.

That team was full of trade pieces, full of potential, and could've really been something. Idk, maybe I'm being crazy.

YOU CRAZY...

In all seriousness that team was a good team very fun to watch, played hard defence but we were always going to be a low seeded team in playoffs, we lacked the cutting edge. I believe blowing it up was the right thing to do, and i hope im right
