Yes I am posting this after he has had his best game as a pro but it is a legit question? Or did he not play enough before to be classed as "improved"
Obviously I meant Most Improved player!!! haha :p

MVP? No way.
Most improved? Definately a shot, increased his scoring by 8 points, rebounding by 3 and blocks by 0.6.
I can definately see this guy continuing to improve. Mullens really interests me, could develop into a very nice player in another 1-2 yrs.
not a chance in hell. how can the most improved be on the worst team?

maybe because its an individual award? He didn't say most improved team. He said most improved player. team record has nothing to do with a players own personal improvement.
Mully is definitely in the picture. He's gone from trade fodder to legit power forward in a shortened season on a team that is tanking. In my opinion the fact that the Bobcats have been so bad this year, is all the more reason he should get the award.
It all depends who is also in the running for the award. I don't think he'll get it, but no question he has improved.

He's improved as much as anybody else, but this award (like all others) is a more a product of hype and popularity than anything else. Mully has no hype, and the Bobcats have no popularity.

People will use the argument "someone had to score and rebound" for the bobcats thats why his numbers are high. To some extent I agree but i do think he should be talked about in the conversation as he has gained some respect from everyone. Teams don't leave him open anymore.
Side note Mully is one heck of an offensive rebounder!

Jeremy Lin will get the most improved award without a doubt. Mully should be in the picture though.

so is mvp, 6th man and dpoy but they all go to someone on a top team. i will make a virtual wager with you that he isn't even on the ballot. i bet a virtual handshake and an actual "i told you so"

MVP meaning most valuable player . for a player to valuable the team has to be doing well because of him. You arent all that valuable if your team sucks. But you can go from nobody to pretty decent player even on a bad team. It doesnt matter i know he wont win it. I'm just saying he deserves to be in it.

lin will win it (having played like 36 games), pekovic should get it (dude has been a straight beast, though he got injured as well), and mully certainly deserves consideration, he was putting up video game stats the last 2 games. i'm glad for all these guys though and i hope mully keeps improving.

yeah i think pekovic should get it especially if he's able to come back strong or maybe illyasova would be straight up annoyed if mullens got snubbed for consideration though

Pekovic gets my vote too. But as I said before, and like others I think Mully should get consideration

I'm not huge on the Lin hype but I do think he could arguably be deserving. The guy went from not being in the league to starting at PG for the Knicks. Pekovic certainly deserves the title as well, where he went from a relatively unknown to a viable option on that team. Byron has had a great season but he really doesn't stand a chance to win MIP (which takes absolutely nothing away from what he has done).
