Despite the fact that it would look like a ridiculous move to most of the media, I think it would be great to give him a 10 day for the rest of the season. He might bring a little excitement back and provide a little bit of scoring punch.
It's not like we have a lot of respectability to lose.

I would take him back in a second. For cheap of course.
There's a great article about how he had found his love for the game again playing over there. And he was playing very well, so this is strange news to here.
EDIT: It seems referencing this thread puts two and two together.

He was playing for a different team than the one I was referring to, and this stop didn't work out for him.

Yes, he was released yesterday. I would like to give you the reasoning, maybe you wonder. First of all, he didn't play horrible. In fact, while the guy he replaced was still injured, he put some cool performances at times. But the other SF has now recovered and returned (Marcelus Kemp a really good scorer as well). Since his return, Ammo was not able to make it to roster, because in Turkey, the clubs are allowed to use at most 5 foreign players in a game in domestic games, and Ammo became the sixth. In European games, such a limit does not exist but only two European games remained for Beşiktaş this season and they are 3 weeks away right now. I believe he didn't want to wait, and he requested his release. Anyway, this was an inevitable and unlucky situation for both parties. But I think he spent a good year overall, especially with Partizan, and proved that he can be a valuable contributor at Euroleague level. He will probably try NBA again, but if he fails -again- another good career will be waiting for him in Europe.

He could come back here with no pressure. Surely he has a friend or two left here. Let him battle with Brown for minutes while Maggette mentors.
Maybe he's actually found his shot and can raise our 3-point abilities.

We are already the laughing stock of the NBA. Whats the point of adding fuel to the fire? He would not affect us here so whats the point?

We are the worst 3-point shooting team in the league, at a pathetic 30.1%.
Even when Ammo was having a poor rookie year as a shooter, he nailed 33.7% of his threes for us.
Maybe he's grown up and would feel no pressure this time around.
Good lord, we need SOMETHING to make this season interesting. Some kind of redemptive storyline. I'd come back to the arena to see him give it another go.
Oh, and there's no crazy Larry Brown now. And nobody is trying to win a championship in Charlotte like it was in L.A. Paul Silas is an encourager. It's perfect!!
If for no other reason, it'd be another interesting way to tank. Imagine the cheers when he comes off the bench to shoot 6 for 11!!
bing!

He shot 37% and 39% from beyond the arc in 22 games for Red Star and Besiktas, respectively. 48% overall. Not too shabby.

my sentiments exactly, what do we have to lose, we brought Kwame in and he was able to become a decent player. Who knows he may help turn it around for next season. Who cares, since we are tanking, lets tank in style.

While I think that 30 point blowouts to the Washington Wizards is the very definition of "tanking in style" .. I completely agree with this sentiment. It would almost be worth signing him just for the laughs.

Even better idea then letting him play: Paul Silas should let him coach a game!

I really feel for the season ticket holders. Pulling for a fallen, off beat draft pick might breath a little life into their miserable experience.
And who knows with Ammo?? Maybe no longer being a rookie, no longer rehabbing a knee, no longer having to fit in with LB's "athletic wing" defensive schemes, and no longer having to sit for a stacked Laker team gunning for a title.....just maybe......the kid can play....(cue dramatic music)

It couldn't hurt anything to have him around. If nothing else it would add to the entertainment value of the games.
