I (undersigned) pledge that I will not claim that the lottery is rigged by the NBA, David Stern or was a result of anything other than our 25% chance not coming to fruition. This does not mean I won't find myself in an emotional state that could include any or all of enraged, depressed, crushed or devastated. But, I will not stoop to the pathetic low of chalking it up to a grand conspiracy.

I can't do it. Because I do think it is rigged. Now, if it is rigged in our favor than fantastic. If not, Tim Donaghy will be rolling over in his cell... Laughing.

no. The NBA owned the Hornets for a season and then told the new owner today that "they are one player away" wink wink. The NBA wants a franchise in New Orleans much more than they need a franchise in Charlotte. If they win the lottery its rigged. And its not a grand conspiracy. its blatant. Stern practically placed CP3 in Los Angeles for god sakes.

Lotto is rigged, cause Stern wants it so. It's just good for business. Watch the Nets and their new arena in Brooklyn get Davis...

Stern wants NOH to win it I reckon

Yeah, I've already read numerous people predicting that the Hornets would win it. It pisses me off...

That being said, I'm no statistics major but I did take it my sophomore year then completely purged all of that crap from my brain once it was done, but how the F does it make sense for the worst team to only have a 25% chance to get the #1 pick? Why wouldn't they make it a 75% chance that the worst team gets it and 25% that they don't?

You know why? Because then no one would buy Stern's crap when average teams jump into the top slot or top 5, like they do every year.

Was just watching PTI as well and Chuck was on... He presented a very interesting scenario. Kornheiser asked him where he would like to see Anthony Davis go if he were thinking what is best for the league and initially he said Brooklyn because obviously it's in NY and a huge market, and they missed on Dwight and will likely lose Deron Williams. He then said he would personally like to see Davis come to Charlotte because we're a basketball hotbed and he's pulling for Michael.

When they discussed the Hornets sale to Benson earlier in the show, Kornheiser also predicted that the Hornets will get the #1 pick b/c the lottery is fixed.

Both the Hornets and the Nets scenarios worry me.

I believe it's not rigged, but I can see why the NBA would want to rig it.

Ultimately, I think the NBA would have a lot more to lose if the public found out the lottery was rigged than they gain from certain teams getting high draft picks.

I'll sign Chef's agreement.

I'll sign after the lotto, if we don't win, I'll say it is rigged.

I can't trust anything in the NBA is unbiased until Stern is gone and a distant memory. Until then I just can't sign this honestly.

It is possible that NO will have a better shot at the number one pick then we do b/c they have the two picks. They could finish with the second worst record if Was wins a few more and the wolves could lose a few more making their pick from the wolves even better. I would love to do a sign and trade of DJ for the wolves pick after the draft if they don't win one of the top spots with it.

I know you guys are saying that he "placed" CP3 in LA's hands, but Eric Gordon is a potential star that hasn't played all year...

I can't sign this....because if Brooklyn or NO wins it then we all know it's a rig and I will break random things in my house as a result

I'll sign it but I acknowledge that some........sketchy things have happened and willl continue to happen (ie. Cleveland landing it the year LBJ comes out, Chicago winning it with a better record than us the year Rose comes out, etc.)

I don't think it's rigged. You can't keep a secret from that many people for that long.
I will say that there should be a better system than the definitive crappiest team only having a 25% chance of getting the first pick. Just do it the way the NFL does it.

3. NO #1
4. NO #1
5. Sac #1

even worse, and i could be wrong, but the first play isn't even random, it's always just the worst to best records. sad. even the lottery machine hates this team.

Agreed 100%.

On a side note, can I watch the lottery at one of your houses? That way I don't break my own stuff :)
