I don't know how it would work, but with all the wheeling/dealing and multi-team manuevers on draft day, let's say you could do it.

Would you trade Anthony Davis for Drummond, Robinson, and MKG?? (Yeah, I assume it's impossible)

Or, let's say trade the number one pick for both of N.O.'s lottery picks AND one of their young talents (who?)....

Or the number one pick for both of Portland's lottery picks AND one of THEIR young talents (who?).

I'm not inclined to do it, but maybe I could be convinced. Thoughts??

For me, it would take more than teams would probably be willing to give.

I'd trade him for Nic Batum and their two lottery picks.

Kemba/vet
Hendo/J. Lamb
Batum/Barnes
Bismack
Mully

I wouldn't trade him for Drummond/Robinson/MKG, but I would if you substituted one of the bigs for Beal or Lamb

Kemba
Beal/Hendo
MKG
Robinson
Bismack

I wouldn't trade him for Gordon and their two lottery picks

That's a tremendous amount of talent. too much to pass up.

For me the answer is no. Even if the Hornets wind up with the #2 & #3 pick in this draft and in addition to offering both of those they add a future unprotected first, the answer is still probably no from me. Everything thing I have read (with many quotes coming from direct scouts) is that AD is about the closest to a sure thing one could hope for in the terms of being a great NBA player. I just couldn't turn down a bird in the hand for three in the bush.

this. to pull a line from simmons, in the nba, a 50 cent piece and 2 quarters does not equal a dollar bill.

I think we need Davis over anyone else... a 6'11/7' with that skill set of defence is hard to come by.

We need defence fixing first and foremost or else we will just be another warriors/denver style team who can only win by scoring more.

It's not necessarily Davis or Bust as some people think, as no matter what we do this year we will still be in the higher lottery picks next year meaning a chance at Noel or Shabazz.

I wouldnt mind seeing Beal/Lamb with Drummond and late lottery pick.

We need a face of a franchise. Nor more 2nd or 3rd string guys. We need that guy where people say "they are playing Anthony Davis and the Bobcats" That is what we need

I would love to have the Warriors or Denver playing home games in Charlotte. If you are going to be just average or a little worse, you might as well do it in an entertaining fashion. But perhaps you are thinking more in terms of playoff basketball WAY down the road, where defense can be your constant. I get that part of it.

Our defense is merely awful. We have poor FG% defense, but we still manage to block a decent number of shots. And we have some guys with defensive potential. But our offense is one of the most atrociously horrid things I have ever witnessed in the NBA. The good news, I think, is that Davis can be good on both ends of the court.

Quality almost always trumps quantity. We need high quality and in the worst way.

Not a chance.
