Finally MJ stands up and speak out about the Bobcats plan.

I agree somewhat with everything but I still think Rod is really not the best person for the job

At least Rod isn't the GM anymore.

I like that he is defending his guys, but he's lying when he says they weren't trying to tank.

I'm glad to see that he's showing loyalty to the team. Thats a big plus.

Interesting interview Michael Jordan gave to Rick Bonnell.

Larry Brown, his former head coach, ripped Jordan in a radio interview. Brown knows basketball as well as almost anybody. But he had to go. He ripped his players, publicly, as severely as any coach I've ever heard. There might be a business model for this. But if a leader repeatedly criticizes his employees, what's the incentive for employees to play hard for him? Brown lost the team.

Jordan, in turn, lost credibility this week by showing up in Chicago to watch the Blackhawks and the Cubs. While his own team was getting drilled by the Washington Wizards, Jordan was watching teams that belong to somebody else.

It was a horrendous PR move. If you're going on the road to watch a team, it ought to be yours.

Maybe Jordan is embarrassed by the product. But it's his product.

That is kind of disappointing

You have got to be kidding me. Going to a Blackhawks game is a NON-ISSUE. Tell me the last time an owner went to an away game when the teams playing were of the likes of the Bobcats and Wizards?

The amount of scrutiny towards Jordan is ridiculous. If he was court-side for every game decked in Bobcats gear, eyes glazed, completely smashed, cheering on the Bobcats, people would call him oblivious to how bad his team is.

I don't care if he shows up at AWAY games. I care that he makes the right decisions this off-season.

I agree and disagree with this. Yes, he should be supporting HIS team and yes, he probably is embarrassed by his product...but honestly I don't see who wouldn't be. Nobody wakes up a day before the season starts and says "I think I want my team to be known historically as the worst team ever." He's made his share of terrible mistakes and we've definitely had drafts that didn't go our way and I think Charles Barkley hit it right on the money when he said "Nobody is going to disagree with Mike." I think MJ is just now starting to learn that the rebuilding process takes more than one person doing anything and that he needs to listen to other people in the front office. He has stated that he is going to stick it out and build this team into a contender and thats what I meant when I said loyalty....and besides, its a hockey game. Different sport, no big deal

Jordan is more involved with our franchise than just about any other owner in the league.

I don't see how he could lose credibility over going to a game in a completely different sport. You probably can't even name more than a handful of owners in the first place so it shouldn't make any difference.

Jordan has been at the last few Bobcat games...he's just not as visible from his suite. He's there though, and he watches the entire game (generally with a scowl on his face and no on in the suite coming within arms reach).

Where was the Utah Jazz owner the other night when they played? .... exactly. No one knows or gives a shit. This is a non-issue.

I've said it millions of times before and I'll say it again. Jordan is scrutinized for the sheer fact that he is Micheal Jordan. Journalist need someone well known to go after and criticize relentlessly. If George Postrolos bought the team nobody would give a crap.

The scrutiny on MJ is just bordering on ridiculous.

People sure jump off a bandwagin quick.
