"Point Wing Forward" idea for Bobcats??

Scenario?:

We grab Brad Beal or Jeremy Lamb in the draft, and he's darn good right away, but not big enough to defend the 3-spot.
Gerald Henderson comes back as good or better next season.
DJ leaves.
We obtain a 6'7"ish Point Guard who can defend Small Forwards.
This enables us to have Beal/Lamb and Henderson on the court together for extended minutes.
This enables Kemba to play some off the ball while still being allowed to defend PG's on the other end.

perimeter rotation:

Point Forward guy: 32 minutes
Kemba: 32 minutes
Henderson: 32 minutes
Beal/Lamb: 32 minutes
Derrick Brown or other backup SF: 16 minutes

Somebody that comes to mind is Evens. They want him to play the SF position but hes best with the ball in his hands. T. Williams might work as well.

If we're looking for a 6'7ish point guard, then there is such a prospect in the draft, and we need to do whatever we can to acquire another pick in the middle of the first round. There is a 6'8, 270 pound player who played some point this year for Iowa State by the name of Royce White

Royce may be one of the most under the radar talents out there. I actually never had even heard of him until I saw him in the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney. In the first round against UConn, I was wondering who the hell this huge dude was who was crossing people up and bringing the ball up the court as the primary ball handler for many stretches. It wasn't just the ball handling, he also had good court vision, unselfishness, rebounding, and a nice touch for someone that big.

Then against Kentucky and their supposed great defense with the Unibrow, he dominated them for 23 points, and had two or three tomahawk dunks on half the team. He's basically like a very poor man's Lebron with his sheer size, ballhandling, and creativity, just not as athletic (although who is) and not as good of a shooter. He's still kind of raw, but I'm very intrigued by his potential, and hope Cho does make a move to bring him in. He also had a triple double this year too.

I wondered why he wasn't projected top 5 or 10 in the lottery, but its due to the fact he didn't play ball for a few years because of an anxiety disorder issue and some legal mixups. But all the stories from this year and the clips I saw of him, he actually seems like a good but misunderstood guy, and he is exactly the type of risk we need to take in order to acquire potential high caliber talent. Imagine if Boris Diaw had the aggressiveness of Gerald Wallace. If he can refine his skills further, with his sheer size and physicality, I really think he has All-Star caliber talent.

Man, if we could get lucky to win Anthony Davis and bring Royce in, I think the potential of this team would shoot up tremendously. Do it Cho!!!

I really think Royce White is someone we can look at I think he could become our next Boris Diaw and I mean that in a good way5, it's not often you get big men with his kind of passing ability,court vision and overall BB IQ. Although we are gonna have to find alternate ways to get him round the country because he's scared of flying but he doesn't seem like someone who'd be disruptive to the team and I can see him being a great team player

He looks talented, but man oh man he has some issues.

yeah he has weight issues to go with fear of running wind sprints. he is also afraid of flying and you have to fly all the time in the NBA so I don't know how that is going to work out.

Given the legal troubles and the other stuff I kind of get the feeling this dude is going to be like ron artest or Tyrus Thomas. An alright dude, but a little crazy and emotional at times.

Just did a dream mock in the draft section and have us picking Dreymond Green who I think can be a good point forward.

I think skill set wise this guy is top 15 in the draft... But conditioning, legal mix ups, anxiety disorder and Scared of flying... I just think theres too much talent out there at the start of the 2nd round (31 pick) which has less drawbacks. I think the interviews will be important for him, NBA teams are going to want to see how he plans to cope

I have issues believing that Royce White would get drafted. If he wouldn't get drafted or the team that does draft him doesn't pick him up, I'm all for signing him. Worth a shot.

He'll get drafted. Dunno why some of you guys are just now finding out about him as he's been trendy for a couple of months now, but he definitely has talent. I'd stay away from him just because there are way too many question marks about him, but he'll get drafted by a team in the mid-to-late first round.

Well if you want a 6'7 point guard, sign jeremy lin, i don't lamb or beal,cause we don't need a 6 foot point guard,a 6'9 center,and 2 6'4 guys on the wings.A team with the size of indiana would kill us if we ever made the playoffs.I would take a chance on chance on royce white if we got him in the second round.And i don't want dreymond green anywhere near this team.If he's that big of a fat fuck in college i don't even wanna think about him in the pros.We don't need the second coming of sean may or oliver miller on a team that already sucks big fat donkey dick!

I'm pretty sure that Lin is only 6'3". We should draft the player with the best chance of being a star, regardless of position. That said, I think Henderson is our only prospect who is definitely longterm fulltime starter material. There are too many questions with Kemba and Bismack. So if we grab another SG in the draft, it'd be nice to get creative and allow 2 SG's on the court together.

Well Lin is nowhere near 6'7 and I'm pretty sure Lamb is taller than 6'4. he's in the 6'5-6'6 range

Sorry,you were right about lin.I don't know why, i just thought he was bigger.Anyway, hendo is listed at 6'5 but he's really only about 6'4 and beal is like 6'3 and lamb is about 6'4 or 6'5 that's just too small to have on the court together.Especially if you have kemba out there.And i will disagree that based on defense alone,byombo has already shown he can start in the future he just needs time.If we really wanna make a run @ another wing player to go go with hendo i would go after wilson chandler or batum.Or course if we go after batum, we couldn't re-sign dj because it would take the money freed up by him and and diaw.My personal preference is that if we don't get the first pick that we try to trade down with portland or new orleans and select andre drummond and kendall marshall.Drummond needs time to develop,but @ worst,he's gonna be a better passing deandre jordan and @ best his gonna be a howard/divac hybrid.He and byombo could be great together.And kendall marshall may end up being the second best player in this draft behind davis when it's all said and done.He can't can't score much.But he would be the big point guard we need and he and kemba could coexist like kidd and terry.I just think any team that needs a true floor general will be kicking themselves for about a decade for passing up marshall.
