Am I delusional, or did Kemba Walker have a better season that 3 third place votes? http://denver.sbnation.com/denver-nuggets/2012/5/15/3021848/2012-nba-rookie-of-the-year-voting-kenneth-faried-kyrie-irving

The AOL link is the original, but the dude from SB Nation put things in a damn table like a normal person. No argument from me on Kyrie Irving winning, but come on, Kemba wasn't that bad, was he?

I wouldn't have voted for Kemba. I do think he could have had a much better season if we'd have had an actual system for him to learn to run/get him good shots...but that's beside the point on what actually happened.

I think Kemba actually did well this year.

He had every bit as good a rookie season as Brandon Knight, but there were too many things conspiring against him to garner any real votes. That said, he still wasn't a top 3 rookie so it really doesn't matter much

I just dont see how Brandon Knight had almost identical numbers but got alot more votes.....its w/e just cuz he doesnt win rookie of the year doesnt mean he'll suck....Kemba will be a good player for us

Sportswriters...guys just like our own Rick Bonnell...vote for this right?
That's how.
Kyrie looked the best of the bunch to me. Guy who deserved it won. All that matters.
And just right BBF...no one should take it as such.

Kemba rightfully deserved some of the third place votes he got. In the end I have no arguments with the winner or how the votes ended up.

Kyrie
Rubio
Faried
Kawhi
Isaiah
all had clearly better and/or more impressive rookie seasons if you ask me. I'd probably say Kemba was the 8-10 or so best rookie, which is totally fine by me... he was the 9th pick after all
you could almost argue that Biyombo had a better season than Walker did.

I wouldn't argue with it at all, I certainly agree with it...Kemba was known for his scoring ability, overall he was very inconsistent with that. Biyombo was known for his defense. He excelled my expectation on defense, but definitely on offense as well. He's got work to do, but of the two I feel much better about Biyombo, than Kemba.
