Or planning on getting them? My friend who bought them with me last year said he'll only renew with me if they get Davis:facepalm:

Keep telling your friend he is a fair weather fan until he collapses from shame and agrees to purchase the ticket.

I renewed the first couple of days we could in February, but I'm upper deck and locked in at almost the same rate from 6 years ago when I got the seats. This past season, and maybe even this year is an investment in what will hopefully be a contending basketball product. Patience is the key, and for the fair weather friends, the bandwagon will have space when they are ready to put some $$ behind their words (not a knock, just reality).

Bought mine last week, although I'm a new season ticket holder, not a renewal. Hopefully the Bobcats get the #1 pick and Anthony Davis brings out some nice crowds next season!

Do any of you guys ever partake in those "Cats 365" events? They sounded like fun based on the brief explanation my account exec gave me, but I was a little unclear what they were exactly, whether they were free, etc.

The ticket trade-in program also sounds like a great perk! Should come in handy when I have extra buddies in town to see their favorite teams. Looks like they had quite a few good eligible games last season.

Any other perks you guys find yourself using from time to time?

Cats 365 is free as far as I can tell, but they literally just started it.

I'd love to tell you some perks but that depends on where you're sitting.

Cheap seats, upper baseline. Didn't realize perks differed based on seating, other than some parking related incentives and a payment plan option for the more expensive seats. Hopefully I'm still afforded the majority of benefits.

I might upgrade in subsequent seasons (especially if the team starts winning), but these should do for a new Charlottonian... Charlottean... Charlottan... Charlotte resident (I'll have to figure that out before I move). :p

Do you guys ever do any tailgating, or do I have to hit up a Panthers game for that?

Charlottean.

There isn't much tailgating per se, but the local restaurants uptown are pretty active before the games. I'd recommend Brixx and anything in Epicentre.

Most of the perks are for lower level seats, especially club seats. But for uppers, there's still the cats 365 stuff, which I think is streamlined versions of a lot of previous perks. But you should get a food discout and a team store discount, I think?

Libretto's in the Epicenter is a better option for pizza than Brixx in my opinion.

Thanks for the info guys!

I read an arena review (http://www.nbabasketballarenas.com/Time-Warner-Cable-Arena-Dec2010.htm) online that listed places like Ri Ra Irish Pub, BlackFinn Saloon, & Brixx as great places to grab some grub & a drink before the game. Hard to say which will become my regular pre-game spot until I check them out in person though.

I've also heard good things about Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, but that doesn't look to be walking distance from the arena.

The Cats365 stuff is free to my knowledge as well. They sent out a survey asking what kind of events you prefered, i.e. a night out, family-oriented events, business networking. I got a call the other day about the UFC event at Strike City Saturday night and I remember a really nice barbecue they had one afternoon last off-season. It looks to be a way to stay connected to the Bobcats and enjoy events other than basketball with other STH's.

Epicentre is the way to go before the games, I say. Plenty to choose from and a stone's throw away from the arena.

I have bought season tickets since I moved back to Charlotte 4 years ago...I am waiting until we hire a coach to decide if I will renew this season...I only missed 3 home games last year and did not leave a single one early but honestly watching that product took a lot of me. Plus, the wife may make be choose between Bobcats tickets next season and our Panthers PSLs...tough choice...

If you have to pick between the Panthers and the 'Cats, pick the Panthers. Cam is more entertaining, and the 'Cats will still be bad.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my ST experience last year and would do it again if I hadn't moved. I learned a ton from watching the game live, and wish I could see a higher quality product to learn more.

Sat in the upper deck this year 1st row baseline and moved over to the upper 1st row corners. The lower deck guys get free parking along with their season ticket package, and I think the club seats and above get some type of food package with their seats. Us upper deck guys do get the team store discount, but no discount on food.

The Cats 365 stuff is a nice idea to keep season ticket holders involved with the team all year long, and they do have about 5 or 6 season ticket only giveaways they do throughout the season. Plus I know at least 4 or 5 times they did a friends and family night where they gave you two extra tickets to certain games to bring some other people if you wanted. Plus there are a few games where you get upgraded as well. It's a good value, and as long as you can stand the growing pains, they do a really good job in terms of customer service.

Easy re-up for me. Great price, great seats (upper corners are my ideal viewing angle), great staff, the product not so much, but maybe we'll get there. And in the meantime, I enjoy seeing great NBA teams and top talent roll through.

Good to hear! I understand that season ticket holders get early entry to the arena as well. Not sure I'd ever take advantage of that (as I'm chronically tardy), but still a cool feature.
