This is assuming we miss out on Davis and get the number 2 pick.

We trade DJA to Miami for their 27th pick.

Trade 2nd pick to NO for their 4th and 10th pick.

2012 Bobcats Draft

4th - SG 6'4 Bradley Beal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOPu1bFBUaQ

I am alittle hesitant of drafting a 6'4 SG this high that didnt completely dominate in college. But he is a lot better than Henderson so im ok with it. He will be a solid pro imo

10th - PG 6'2 Damian Lillard

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHBDW6tNcvo

I really like Lillard. This guy can score the rock and shoot! Him and Kemba would make for a great pg combination.

27th - PF 6'9 Andrew Nicholson

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L66QmiB0xj4&feature=related

Needs to add some weight but this guy is a very polished scorer in the post.

31th - Point Forward 6'7 Draymond Green

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XImcWrcuE4Q

Plays alot bigger than he is. Nice skill set for someone his size. Rebounds, passes, shoots. Does it all.

Would love this lineup.

PG: Lillard / Kemba
SG: Beal / Hendo
SF: Hendo / Mag / Brown
PF: Green / Thomas / White
C: Biz / Mullens

Since I'm not a draft guru, I'll wait patiently to see if this mock gets the SWedd seal of approval :g:

I approve but no way NOH ever ever ever do 4 and 10 for the 2nd pick. The guy who goes 2nd is only slightly better than whoever goes 4 in this draft.

I dont think NO would do it as like I said this is a "dream" draft.

But you never know. They could really like a certain player and feel they would fit their team much better ect.

I dont approve of this because we would be the tiniest team in the league.

Look at the starting 5 heights....

6 2
6 4
6 5
6 7
6 9

Not one person is over 6 10 which would be a very bad sign against team with big men down low. I can live with a position or two undersize but not 80% of the starting lineup.

We are 2-4 drafts away from being a good team. Obviously we would be looking to upgrade the SF position and adding another big.

So in 2 years we would look like

6'2
6'4
6'6-6'7
6'9
6'11 - 7

Right now we just got to get quality players. Beal and Lillard are quality players. Lillard has a ton of upside!

maybe 2nd for 4th and 10th then we pick up Perry Jones and Lamb/Beal?

Ziggy, the proposed mock is solid. I'm a huge fan of Lillard and would trade Kemba for him in a heartbeat. But I think we can get better value with these picks. Under the scenario that we end up with the 4th, 10th, 27th, and 31st pick. I would do the following (using DX):

04 = Thomas Robinson (not necessarily better than Beal, but Lamb hypothetically available at 10 provides much more value so we can afford to go with someone else. Robinson is just that guy. Could also go with Drummond if they're willing to take a bigger risk)

10 = Jeremy Lamb (highest value in the draft if he falls to 10. Has the most potential of any wing in the draft and does absolutely everything you want from your SG. The only concern is his laid-back attitude, but we saw how well he played next to Kemba before so I'm not worried about it)

27 = Tyshawn Taylor (I've been a fan of Taylor since his freshman season. Taylor finally played up to his potential this year and showed that he has a lot of desirable tools. At 6'3, he can be that tall second PG we need and can even slide over to the SG spot in small lineups)

31 = Festus Ezeli (Perfect physical profile for a Center at the next level. He didn't expand on the improvement shown his Junior year, but that had a lot to do with his knee sprain. He's a willing banger with size to guard the big bulky guys that give Bismack trouble. A Bismack/Robinson/Ezeli trio is a really nice, young rotation)

Kemba/Taylor
Lamb/Hendo/Hammer
Maggette/Reggie/UPS
Robinson/Mullens/Tyrus
Bismack/Ezeli/Diop

I like Robinson but I dont like him enough to pass on Beal.

For some reason I just do not like Lamb. The games I watched him he didnt seem to have any nasty streak or take over ability. Like you said played to passive and for the most part faded many times in games.

I loved Ezeli from my first eye test, then I saw he only averaged like 4 rebounds a game!!! :O Thats just absolutely terrrible for someone of his stature! He is a good shot blocker though.

He is to similar to Biz only Biz is a much better rebounder which is why id avoid him. Id go with the Nicholson kid who is a great low post scorer.

As far a Taylor goes he wont beat out Kemba so I see no need for drafting a backup when we can get one through FA.

Lillard and Beal would give us a sick young backcourt! We would have the better team with going Lillard / Beal as opposed to going Robinson / Lamb

Kemba < Lillard
Lamb < Beal
Magg = Magg
Robinson > Nicholson (this isnt by much as Nicholson is a lot more polished down low, could end up being a steal with some added weight)
Biz = Biz

I'd take Scott Machado over Lillard any day. And stay away from Bradley Beal. Gonna be a HUGE bust.

Machado is no where near the scorer as Lillard and he is not very athletic also. There is a reason he is project to go mid - late 2nd round.

He is a great passer though.

Why is it that Beal is gonna be a big bust and what SG's are better than him?

No he isnt.

That honor would go to Lillard. Averaged 24.5 ppg

Deadly shooter and also good at taking people off the dribble

What conference you play in has zero to do with your skill sets and talent.

Lillard is 6'2 - 6'3 and athletic. Great for a PG.

Lillard has a sick handle and is a dead eye shooter.

His ceiling is higher than Beal's without question.

Beal is at a disadvantage due to his height and athletic ability. And its not like he has a sick handle or proven to be a great shooter.

If we were to make the trade mentioned, my Draft would likely be this:
#4 - T. Robinson PF Think he'd be good alongside Biyombo
#10 - K. Marshall PG With DJ gone, need someone who can push Kemba for the job. And this time, get someone with some good size. I like Marshall. I can see him starting by the end of the year
#27 - Either F. Ezeli or F. Melo Both are C's and can backup Biyombo.
#31 - J. Taylor SF I think this kid from Vandy will be one of the late 1st round steals in the draft.

**Very possible we may have to take Taylor at #27 and then hope either Ezeli or Melo falls to us at #31. Believe Taylor's stock is going to start rising once the Draft Workouts start. Very possible he will not even be there at #27.

I don't know why everyone is sleeping on Doron Lamb with the 31 pick? We DESPERATELY need 3 point shooting. Lamb can do much more, he just wasn't asked to at Kentucky because of that team he was in.

Lamb imo will not be there for the 31st pick. People are really sleeping on him though.

If we dont come away from this draft with atleast 1 of Beal, J. Lamb, D. Lamb, or Jenkins I will throw my remote through the TV!

Other than Marshall at the #10, I agree with ohara on this one.

At the #10, you are looking at Henson, Sullinger, Rivers and Jones. I know none of them are 100% home runs but they are all studs in their own way. I would personally rather have any of them than Marshall. I am worried about Marshall's foot speed and overall defense at the next level.
