Tell New Orleans he won't be happy there.
Trade DJ Augustine, #2 2012, and 2013 First rounder. If AD says he wouldnt play in New Orleans is there anyway NO wouldnt take that deal?

lol thats more than a tad ridiculous to move up one spot given where we will pick next year. ill give em anyone besides Biz and the Portland 2013 pick thats top12 protected thru 2016 to move up though

Maybe we are lucky and seeing that AD doesn't want to play there, they don't draft him. We give up nothing. wishful thinking. But I have moved on and I am not thinking about AD.

For some reason it makes me feel good to read this. Definitely makes me like Davis and his fam for wanting to come here. Like he mentioned, they'll get over it and he'll settle in in that rathole of city that drafted him, but there's something cool about the fact they had a similar reaction to the lottery as we did. Maybe it's the fact that the MJ brand/name still holds currency and that Charlotte is still a destination to some great players. Or maybe it's just the fact misery loves company.

He needs to pull a kobe but i doubt he has the heart, ppl talk about charlotte but nobody wants to honestly play in N.O. MJ affect might not have pull on professional star athletes like talking about but it still works on kids

What are the rules on people advising him on a hold out that have connections with the Bobcats im sure its prohibited and im sure his soon the be hired agent would be very much against it.

RE: Getting him in the draft.
The only way I see that happening is if NO gets a good package from us for him. AD and the teams aren't going to take any hits for giving up on guys, tampering, or bad attitudes.
Bottom line: if we get AD, we'll be giving up considerable pieces to get him. I doubt DJ and the 2nd gets it done. I doubt DJ, Hendo, and the 2nd get it done.
I'd give up #2, a re-signed DJ, Reggie, and Byron for #1 and Vasquez.
Also, people don't wanna come here my ass.

I wonder if this could be a reason why he waited on getting an agent. He needs someone to guide him to Charlotte if his road took him to Rat Orleans, or anywhere else. lol

They will if AD hires David Falk as his agent!
Seriously...you know MJ is begging Falk to manipulate this shit.

Just love this , wanting to come hear.
I would give up the 2nd pick , Portlands 2013 pick and rights to DJ for Vasquz and the 1st
come on guys. unless he wants to play in europe the next 5 years, he is going to be a hornet. don't waste any energy or time thinking there is even a slim chance he is a bobcat.

His reasoning is pretty weak, but I agree that Charlotte should do everything in its power to get Anthony Davis.

given that NO has a month to think about it and watch the workouts. They may see that it would make sense to draft MKG or draft AD and make the trade. NO really are not that far off from putting together a good team. That one player may not be AD. Whereas we are 3+ players away from putting something worth watching.

i was devastated when we didn't get the number 1 pick becasue Davis is a franchise changer and would have been a huge player for us. However there are many great young platers in this draft including Robinson, Beal, Gilchrist, Drummond, Barnes

I disagree a little bit. I think New Orleans would be idiotic to pass on AD. Scoop is making it sound like we should dupe them into passing, and thats ridiculous. But I fully support the idea of trading up. I do think AD will make any team better, but I think he would have a better career in Charlotte. I think Bismack Biyombo Anthony Davis frontcourt would be a power house for years to come. I think the fans in Charlotte will adore him, more than any other fan base because we need something, anything resembling a savior.
I hate the idea of coming out of this draft with only one lottery player and it not being Anthony Davis. So if we can't get him I want multiple picks by trading down, because like you said, we need more pieces.
Howeva.. I don't think its crazy to say the pick could be bought. just depends on how much you pay. I would easily and I mean easily trade a resigned DJ, the #2 and next years first rounder from Portland. I think Anthony Davis is worth more than anything we could get with those picks. We get our guy, Davis goes where he wants to be. New Orleans needs a point guard way more than they need a power forward. In this trade they get not only a point guard but a New Orleans native, and proven decent starting point guard. Plus I think beside Gordon, DJ would excel. Then they have the #2 pick and 2 picks next year to solidify.
Its crazy and I'm kidding myself here. but this is a message board, they are made for stuff like this right!

That is what scares me, he is too humble. too humble to put up a fight not to go to NO. Does he think that he is not that much better than the rest.

I know the more we talk about the possibility of trying to get AD, the more outlandish we sound. I think I would rather see what we can do at no 2 and move on. If AD or NO wants to deal, then let's deal. But T-Rob and Biz is a nice comp prize at no. 2

Although I fully expect us to trade our 2nd pick for multiple picks or a top 10 pick and a player(like Tyreke Evans), our franchise is in better shape than people think. Lets play a hypothetical game for a few minutes.
Sign Antawn Jamison to a 3 yr deal to finish his career
Draft MKG in the 1st and Draymond Green in the 2nd
Re-sign DJ Augustin(mainly for trade bait)to a one year deal
Walker - Augustin
Henderson - Williams
MKG - Maggette/Green
Jamison - Thomas/Green
Biyombo - Mullens
We will then have 2 picks in the 1st rd after next season and a TON of cap space. We draft Shabazz Muhammad, CJ McCollum, and Christian Watford...
Our roster then
Walker - McCollom
Muhammad - Henderson
MKG - Watford/Green
Jamison - Thomas/Green
Biyombo - Mullens
My point is this - We will struggle again next season, but look at that lineup above which is very possible, and imagine that team with the possibility of adding a big free agent or even 2 if we amnesty Thomas.
Charlotte Bobcats are going to be just fine with or without Anthony Davis.
