Ok we got the #2 pick and there's a good chance that we draft Thomas Robinson. For those that don't know his story you really need to watch this video.

This is the kind of guy that Charlotte will fall in love with.

Yeah, he's been through a lot, and persevered. Whoever was calling him a thug is either a troll or an idiot.
Or both.

What a story. I want him here. He has a great post game, a mid range game, solid defense, and most importantly, heart. This guy's got a reason to wake up in the morning and try to become the best power forward of all time. I want this guy in Charlotte. This is the kind of story that wakes a fanbase up and gives people a reason to pull for the Bobcats.
If he comes here and succeeds, the Bobcats could become one of the most beloved franchises in the country because of that story.

I love this guy. My dad is a big Kansas fan so i've watched and known his story for a while now....he's a great player. Someone that's inspired the way he is to be great will not fail. His skill level and determination are fantastic. Why would you NOT want him on this team?

He has more potential than Anthony Davis. Whoever thinks Davis is going to be able to step in and be a dominant player against the likes of Dwight Howard, Bynum, Amare, Bosh and even Duncan is an idiot. Dude should have stayed in school. Robinson stayed for three seasons and is more physically developed and polished.

Very deserving of its own thread JGib and it shows this kid's desire goes far beyond the typical draft pick that wants to play in the NBA. It's almost like he's on his own island and won't stop doing whatever it takes to be the best..... but for himself and his family, not for endorsements and poppin' bottles in South Beach. Like he said in that HoopsWorld interview, Robinson doesn't want to be the #1 pick, he wants to be the best pick. He has that warrior mentality, maturity and drive that is the silver lining in tragedies. I feel for him and not too many people would be able to overcome that type of adversity. He IS what Charlotte needs on this team and I will be disappointed if we don't select him.

I can relate to his story. He has a strength, courage and toughness this team needs.
