So everyone always goes on about how teams need someone to score in the low post and needing bigs that can score the ball. Well, OKC don't have any bigs that can score or even really try to score... Is this proof that the need in low post scoring is false if you have the right players around your offensively limited bigs?

OKC has guys that can get past anyone in the league. Westbrook is a blur and can get into the lane at will, Harden is a beast going left. KD can go either way and can shoot over the top of anyone. Their playstyle doesn't really need that big of a post presence considering they're a driving team, not a shooting team (although they have some solid shooters on that team)

yep, so a team doesnt need a low post scorer if you have the right pieces around them.

You don't, but does that mean we need a top 5 player at three positions?

did you not see the game where ibaka and perkins scored 40 pts combined? granted it wasn't every game but they definitely don't win game 4 without those two.

but to answer your question, no you don't necessarily need low post scoring if you can attack the basket from the perimeter. but if your jump shots aren't falling and you don't have a low post scorer, it gets awfully tough to drive to the basket. i think too much gets made out "perfect team composition" in the over analyze everything 24hrs a day sports media world. every team has weak spots, there are no perfect teams. it is who is best at what the do best and not the worst at their weakest spots.

You don't need low post scoring................................... if you have elite wing scoring.

You don't need wing scoring................................ if you have low post scoring.

90s bulls - proof you don't need low post scoring?

i try and design my nba 2k teams sorta similar to okc. i try and have my bigs good at defense, rebounding, and put backs and then an athletic freak point gaurd and wings who can hit the 3 and drive decently. and since i'm so successful against the cpu on pro mode, it's definitely the best way to do it.
