I didn't see there be a thread on this, I always thought the interviews would be key but if they went anything like this one he absolutely smashed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9TaK9fCI2U&feature=plcp
That is one smart, humble, honest and talented kid. He handles himself in a great manner, if we get a pick in the late teens or 20s I think he tops my list right now

Very mature interview! Impressed by him, he will be a very good role model for the nba

Killer interview !! Thanks for posting. I really like Royce White but have no earthly idea where he will land in this draft. Seems like he could go anywhere 2-32 haha. Maybe Hoiberg and Jordan have had a chat and we are interested. Royce White is Boris Diaw 2.0 with a better post game, flaws and all.

I honestly believe that Royce White is the 2nd best player in the draft, right now. I watched Iowa State every chance I could get after just randomly seeing them early on in the season and I was blown away with how mature his game is. He simply plays basketball at much more cerebral level than 99% of the guys in this draft right now.
He was the only player in the nation to lead his team in points, blocks, rebounds, assists, and steals. He has the best inside-out game in the country, his post moves are much more advanced than Sullinger or Zeller. He rebounds using his athleticism and positioning/boxing out the latter of which was critically lacking for the Bobbies. Iowa St revolved their NBA style offense around him, very reminiscent to LeBron's Cavs where a point forward creates and spreads the floor for shooters. He dominated Terrance Jones and MKG in the tourney and UK didn't even bother using Anthony Davis to guard him down low, probably to avoid cheap fouls.
Now the bad news. His jumpshot is really spotty, like LeBron's HS days. He can be too ambitious with fancy passes and cause some TOs (very Diaw-esque). He dealt with weight and conditioning issues after transferring from Minnesota, which was caused by legal issues stemming from his anxiety disorder. But unlike Diaw he looks to score and likes to dunk on people and his anxiety seems to be becoming less and less of an issue as he is very proactive in treating it now.

I dont know about "much" more advanced than Sulinger and Zeller but his post game is just retarded for a SF. He is a nightmare matchup for ANY SF not named Lebron on the block.
Amazed he is projected so low.

I honestly believe that Royce White is the 2nd best player in the draft, right now.
So, as things are, you would take him 2nd or would you try to trade down to get him and something else?
Obviously, you want to get the best player, but he hasn't been in the question much for top 10.

Why take him 2nd when you can get him in the mid 1st along with another good player?

My point is if it's worth the odds that another team drafts him.

Too many good players in this draft to worry about that.
One of Harkless, Miller, and White will be there in the mid first.

Again, you're missing the point.
I'm asking Brother Dave if he values him so much that he'd just flat take him at #2 rather than risk a trade down and missing out on him.

I didnt really care if you were asking me or not.
Just gave my opinion on what was being discussed.
Like I do in any thread

By all means, post away.
However, you did not make the claim nor share the perception that Brother Dave made, making your response meaningless since it was predicated on his view of the matter.

Next time maybe start or end your question with this is solely directed towards "X" poster.

This is a internet forum forum after all, generally speaking "you" is not exclusive to one person. Most people ask questions or make comments looking for peoples thoughts and opinions.
Like I said, Id still recommend being clear for the posters you are only looking for poster X's opinion / answer.
Cheers :)

DNB I can only see what Dash is saying as your quoting him. Over the last two weeks I have become increasingly frustrated with his stubbornness and know it all attitude that I have selected to ignore him so all his posts are hidden from me.... Best decision I ever made :D You have to realize there is no point arguing with Dash, he will always be right (btw he thinks Wayne Ellington is better than Hendo...yeah that one really set me off) and he will just throw everything back in your face with no reasoning. I know I am not the only one who gets finds him frustrating, countless around the forum find him hard to deal or reason with. However, now all his posts are hidden from me and I don't have to tear my hair out thinking "What an unreasonable guy!"

BroD the fan would draft him at 2 outright and give the rest of the world the Johnny Cash middle finger.
BroD the coach would draft him but prefer to trade down a little and get him and another player.
BroD the GM would definitely look to trade down for multiples and get him lower or at least draft for somebody and make a swap. Somebody like GS would be ideal, 2 for 7, 30, 35, and 52 then package those picks to move up or just stockpile BPA assets and maybe a foreigner or two to stash overseas. GS would have to be in love with somebody at 2 though.

I dont think the 30, 35, and 52 will carry much trade weight.
As most the desirable players will be gone after 30.

True but there are a few teams that will look to trade out of the first round due to salary cap problems.

Chad Ford believes that a team has made a promise to Royce because he has pulled out of remaining workouts. Speculation is that Celtics, Hawks, and Warriors could have given him one.

I pray it is not the Celtics. I hope to god that if we don't get him some how that his hometown T-Wolves do. A) He actually wants to play for them, how often does that happen? and B) They can just trade Derrick Williams for a good SG which is what they need more than anything.
