I attended last year and enjoyed it - plan on doing the same tomorrow night. Always enjoy the extra stuff. It says there will be NBA legends on hand but doesn't say who (last year was Bogues, Sleepy Floyd, David Thompson, and Dell Curry).
I'm going to try and take some pictures of the new stuff and do a little writeup for those who can't get to the arena until the season starts (if there are actual changes in place yet).

Here is the media release...I hope to make it, may try to get a computer in so I can also be in the draft chat (best of both worlds).

BOBCATS TO HOST DRAFT PARTY AT TIME WARNER CABLE ARENA
June 27, 2012 – The Charlotte Bobcats will host an NBA Draft Party on Thursday, June 28 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena. This free event is open to the public and features appearances by NBA legends David Thompson, Eric “Sleepy” Floyd and Tyrone “Muggsy” Bogues, along with ESPN’s live coverage of the 2012 NBA Draft and analysis by team broadcasters Steve Martin and Scott Lauer.
ESPN’s coverage of the 2012 NBA Draft will air on the arena’s main scoreboard beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Bobcats have the second and 31st overall selections in this year’s draft. The draft begins at 7:30 p.m. and the second overall selection will be made at approximately 7:45 p.m.
During the event, fans in attendance will have their first opportunity to hear from new Head Coach Mike Dunlap, as well as their first chance to purchase Bobcats t-shirts and hats or preorder jerseys with the team’s new colors. In addition, all clearance items at the Team Store will be 40% off.
Activities taking place throughout Time Warner Cable Arena include:
* A photo station with NBA legends David Thompson, Eric “Sleepy” Floyd and Muggsy Bogues in the main lobby.
* A Cats Care garage sale featuring Bobcats merchandise, with all proceeds benefitting Cats Care, in the main lobby.
* A sports bar area presented by Hickory Tavern in Lowe’s HomeCourt that includes bar games such as darts, shuffleboard and Golden Tee.
* An outdoor area on the Trade Street Plaza presented by Budweiser that includes a beer garden, basketball hoop for shooting contests and tailgating games.
* A Kids Zone area with inflatables and entertainers outside sections 114-115.
* Free throw and “hot shots” competitions on the arena court.
In addition, Bobcats radio partner WFNZ will be broadcasting live from the arena floor from 12:00-7:00 p.m. with its shows “Bustin’ Loose” and “The Drive.”
Bobcats Sports & Entertainment owns the Charlotte Bobcats and operates Charlotte’s Time Warner Cable Arena.

I went last year and it was a nice crowd. If you can go, I would say go - Steve and Matt give a nice breakdown from a Bobcats perspective, the photos are a nice touch, and it sounds like they're having more for the kids this year. Plus food was really cheap, they had dollar hot dogs and sodas last year.
Looks like I have to work, but I'll be in the chat room and have the draft on in the office for sure.

I'll be there. I always enjoy the draft party, it's usually a pretty fun event. Besides, have to pick up some of the new gear, right?
I'm going, it shouldn't be a problem bringing my laptop in the arena, right?

Biggest disadvantage of draft party is missing the BCP chat...but
Just got confirmation from the Bobcats, you can bring in netbooks into the Arena tonight...I think they have public wifi in there, but if you have a droid, you should be able to piggy back the internet service through your phone to your netbook (if you don't have a data plan on your phone). The app is called pdanet and is free, or you can pay $15 for the full version that allows Https sites, but BCP is http so it should work for free. You just change the Development setting on the phone to "on" and it views your phone as an internet router instead of just a hard drive with pictures & music on it.

Wish I could go. I went last year and it was completely awesome when we picked kemba. Would like to go this year just to see some of our new jerseys in person.

Had a good time at the Draft Party, even though my 2 year old was way more interested in the light rail outside than what was happening inside...that is, until some Lady Cats walked by. Which reminds me, a big thanks to Lady Cat Cara, who was very VERY sweet to my son. That means a lot to a dad!

Thanks for taking these, as one of the few here that have never actually been inside TWC, they were a treat for me. Liked the shot of Bismack working on his free throws with Dunlap.

Very cool! Thanks for posting. Can't wait to get down there and check out TWC Arena for the first time (first of many!).

I enjoy TWC Arena. Before moving to Charlotte, I've never lived in the same city as an NBA team. I wouldn't mind snapping more shots in the future if people have requests (as you can see, I'm no professional photographer... took all of these shots on my phone).

The more shots the merrier. Photography is my side gig, and I'd love to take my camera along some time, but I just never sit close enough to get good shots...
